Out of group assisting is not built in - there are in-plugin methods around it, like using a tank mode, and getting aggro (mob on your xtarget inside your camp), but it is not a thing that these combat suites support directly.
With CTWN plug-ins you can use manual mode and run kissassist for the targeting and such. It seems to help if I put the MT on the ETW, but I can’t explain why. PFM, clearly.
just know doing this is
not recommended and
unsupported. you can and will end up with
conflicting behavior doing this.
for the cwtn toons to do something like that, you can use a healer with xtarget healing turned on and configured, and then someone (either that healer, or someone else in group) set in tank mode, when the healer heals and gets the mob on xtarget, the tank would then start attacking.
but using an entire, conflicting, macro suite to do that is going to lead to issues and it is impossible to support.
some folks use the newer
> OutAssist Lua < - again, not supported or recommended.
some folks use >
Chase.lua <
some folks use
> assist macro < which shouldn't have any conflicting stuff. you would just have your out-of-group toons run this while in manual mode
instructions are inside the macro. it could be improved by being able to pass a param, but it isn't my resource
INI:
|Auto assists your group's Main Assist.
|Delete "${Group.MainAssist.Name}" and replace with characters
|name for out of group assist.
there are a few specific reasons why we *dont* already have it built in, for which we don't have a good solution for.
things like mq2XAssist are buggy and some folks report many issues with them - which is why we don't recommend using that
using a full automation suite that potentially can cause issues that would be hard to diagnose is why we don't recommend/suggest the blank kiss ini thing. can a blank kiss ini with usemq2melee=0 work? sure, can and will you potentially have conflicting behavior, yes. - which is why we
don't recommend or suggest going that route.
the previously mentioned heal/tank thing is fine way to make it work, I've used that in the times that i've wanted some out-of-group additions.
For Out Of Group Healing - just add characters to your xtarget window and turn on xtargethealing
For Out Of Group Buffing - just add characters to your xtarget window and turn on xtargetbuffing
the raidmode and setting raidassist is also a nice way to achieve what you want, assuming you're not trying to cheese xp to 1 group or whatnot
