Could you add the option to buff while in combat?

Like an option in the buffsection BUFFCOMBAT=0/1 ?

It happens so often, that the puller runs out of range for groupbuffs. a few hours ago the cleric went oom on buffing an groupbuff over and over again, because the puller got not hit by the buff. And thats not that rare, it happens pretty often. With single target buffs also - but there you dont waste mana atleast. But on long fights, while chainpulling ppl run out of buffs and there is no rebuffing. And i dont really want to move every buff into the dps section.

Could also combine that with another option which let them only buff above x% mana (But thats not really important).

This is one of the issues with chain pulling that we built in an option for pausing for buffs. This was what was agreed upon by the majority at the time. Use the ChainPullPause=30|2 and change it to how often you want to pause and for how long. Some day there will be a fix for this, but there is no easy fix at this time. Buffing in combat created its own set of problems.

Ok, then it would be nice if ChainPullPause would work while ChainPull=0, so the puller does a pause every x minutes regardless.

What I want to do is setup some way for the puller to check if they need a buff before they leave camp, but the challenge is knowing what buffs the group will be casting so the puller knows they should wait. If everything was perfect and all group members started the macro at the same time. The puller could initially wait for the 2 minutes(30|2) before starting pulls, then record the buffs that are in the buffs window. Then the puller would have something to refer too before leaving camp to pull. Also add some logic in, to drop any buff that has like 2 minutes left on it, then just wait for buff before leaving camp, but the problem there is when you have someone that's not in your group run by and cast a buff on you. I guess when starting the macro you could drop all buffs and then wait for the 2 minutes(30|2) then record the buffs that you have before the first time you go to pull. I just see a ton of issues that will come up trying to get this to work in all situations, but that doesn't mean I won't try and put something together one day.

One way would be to add some kind of communication between the toons. If all toons are running on KA + mq2eqbc the buffer could tell the puller to wait a moment. /bct puller hold pulls .. /bct puller continue pulls.
Just need to be sure, that the toons are running with KA (this should be np with mq2eqbc). If you dont want to use tells, it can be done the same way you are communicate via eqbc to announce what the other toons are currently doing. (<healer> ]20:37:48] Divine Light on >> MA <<)

is there anyway to just manually list what buffs each character should have? I know it's some extra work for the end user, but would be well worth it IMO, since we are fairly limited as it is on who gets what buffs. Example, I have 2 different tank classes in my setup. I want them both to have shammy talisman buff (TLP so no group version) but I dont want my shammy going oom casting talisman on all melee.

Just had an idea, but all characters in the group would have to be running on the same computer or accessing the same Kissassist_Buffs.ini file. Could write the buffs, that will be CAST by each individual character, to the kissassist_Buffs.ini file. Then the puller could check their buffs window and compare it to the buffs listed in the kissassist_Buffs.ini file. If the puller finds a buff listed in the file that they don't have, then they just wait for the buff. The logic would be easy enough.

I'm no expert but what about this logic?

the puller has a buff fade and that sets a trigger to "hold pulls for the amount of time set for my check buffs in my .ini" (typically 20 or 30 from what I've seen) (+ some variable to account for cast time / etc.)

if the buff was one that another KA toon had cast, and all the toons had the same "check buffs" timer, the delay should provide time for caster to identify need & recast

if the buff is recast, the puller is thrown out of the delay, if not, the puller assumes the buff is no longer available and goes back to pulling without the buff.

I think buffing works like that allready, just that the puller dont wait for the buff ?

This would cause an issue with "in combat" buffs, because he would then "Pause" after every combat as the special short term buffs wear off.
