So been years. Came back for the first time in years and resubbed and rolled a group last week and now they are 47. WIth the current expainsion that just opened up, should i be just focused on hitting 70 or should i stop and AA along the way?

Also, can anyone recommend good/fast group camp spots for the 47+ journey? All i know from past is grinding slow in Pop or doing Ldons and such.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't know if it's different on TLP and I'll caveat that I haven't levelled without the 'power' in front of it in years, but I always liked velk's in that range. You can hang at the entrance and kill spiders and just move up as you level. I'd probably head to Grieg's End after velk's.

As far as stopping to AA, I think the general consensus on live is to do levels first.

Yeah, levels first.

Also I really like doing Sebilis that level range up to mid 50's. Lots of mobs, and I guess partial nostalgia as well. I think maybe Ssraeshza Temple, they are mid 50 mobs.

The Hole was good from about 45-55.
Starting with the zone in...and slowly moving down further and further as the mobs got easier.
The ghost temple at the bottom was one of the first places where swarming became a thing. Fond memories!

If memory serves I did Dreadlands and then Karnor's and some Seb.

Velks to 65 Its easy and dies fast. Then can AA there Really fast but i like PoV. Quiet and easy. Hit OoW once you have defensive AAs for sure.

PoV isn't bad if you can stand the horny grunting sounds the giants make.

You're getting your answers about where to level, so I'd just like to second that you should beeline to 70 before working on AAs. The only exceptions I can think of to this might be DPS AAs for your DPS, anything mana regen related for your casters, and anything defensive related for your tank, but even then I'm always on the fence about that.

With few exceptions, it is always more gainful to add a level to your character than any single AA or any single piece of gear.

Also, if you're looking for a raiding guild on Riz, feel free to shoot me a DM.

my main issue towards joining anything is that i work swing shift and thus play typically off-peak times. Eventually ill probuably roll a second group but no idea when. Work keeping me pretty busy so i dont know how much id be able to contribute

Try and do the epics, well worth it at the current levels.

You will get Experience and meet people as well

Well slugged through to lvl 54 over weekend. Will see how much I can push through this week during crazy work schedule. Might try to run ldon mission/macro unless I can find a safer spot to camp

Oh.. and I'll be starting at least my clerics epic this week as well. Figure with the cheap bazaar items, that is the only required epic at this point. That and the bard epic but I have no idea how hard that would be able to do with my team.

What time-zone are you playing in? <End of Time X> Is a Euro guild if u play like to play / raid daytime. We have a few americans already that likes to raid early in the day.

As for leveling, it all depends on what you prefer.
Velks is in my opinion the best spot until 60, after that i'd prolly do Greigs End. 62+ There are always the possibility to get Fire flagged via killing Fennin and Hailing the spirit, and im sure if you ask around your gonna hit someone bored enough to kill him for you :D You might even get some nice dropps outta it :D

Welcome back and best wishes to you!

I am in PST. Typically play on weekdays between 1am-4am and then alittle bit in afternoon before work. Weekends are pretty open thougj.

Well I just started a group on Riz. I have forgotten how difficult it was when EQ started and didn't have all the expansions. Game play is a lot different than on the live servers but got the group up to 20 so now its off to hunt up some plats to finish of armor and spells.

Welcome to Rizlona , and good luck !

I just started a group on Riz last week and I'm in mid 30s now. Down to do any of the "old(er) school" raids for the sake of doing them. I'm buying spells sparsely to save cash but yeah, restarting from scratch is a grind huh?

Thanksgiving bonus has been a blessing for sure, mis 66 on my team now. Been in Grieg's for 2 days. Starting to really slug though so may move on to finish grind from 66-70 and then aa's.

So i'm 67 now and been just slaughtering the Crystaline's in PoV along a well. Easy and exp is moving. (granted bonus holiday). Would you recommend this spot to 70? A lot of people been saying to goto OoW and hit WoS but as i have no AA's yet i don't see the point as the mobs are tougher. Would the exp/kill be that much better there to make it worth it?
