I'm using mq2 very vanilla. My toon gets stuck inside the npc it's fighting. If I stop the macro the problem ends. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem please?

I have bexperienced similar eratic movements which looks like what's in the video. I Get that in CS if I am too close to the zone boundary. I just move my group a little bit away and all is cool. It did happen when group was camped tight to the rocks under water in CS as well. Again moving a little bit resolved the problem. I thought my Zerkers were having seizures.

Thanks for pulling the video for me. It seems it's going to take me just as long to learn this forum...lol

It seems to be intermittent In the raw tab under melee all I see is Meleeon=1. I don't see stick distance in any of the tabs. I also see the (stickhow) I have pullmeleestick=0 in the pull tab.

Any chance you have one of the default follow me macros on when engaging? I've seen my crew do weird things when I go to engage with them on assist, but still trying to follow me.

Unfortunately no. It seems to be not happening as often tho.

you'll want to determine what is causing it. mq2melee, your kiss settings -> if your kiss is usemq2melee=1, or whatever else you're using. then track down what is causing the stick behavior.

you definitely can get into situations where you're stuck with "afollow" (like the follow me buttons on your group window if you're using those)

having afollow stuck on while trying to use automation to fight a mob is a common thing that happen to folks

2 very Vanilla
MacroQuest and MacroQuest2 are just the overall platform that things run on.
RedGuides is our site and our "flavor" of MacroQuest we call "Very Vanilla" because we don't offer "active hacks", so it is like "the regular, trusty flavor that people can rely on".

your automation would be something like (or a combination of) kissassist, muleassist, rgmercs, mq2melee etc.

Hi Sic, I'm not adept at tracking things like that down on my own, hence the post. It doesn't seem to be happening as often as it was, also it's just me and an A.I. merc atm.

well for it to be "just you" that would mean it would happen without macroquest loaded at all, which i suspect is not the case

as mentioned in my previous post:

your automation would be something like (or a combination of) kissassist, muleassist, rgmercs, mq2melee etc.

so if you're not running any macro at all, then it is likely mq2melee, which many folks would recommend not using

That's why I like coming to Redguides. You and the team, and those who post, help me to understand the things I don't understand. Thank you for the input. :)

Well to be more literal, it's an Everquest character, and an Everquest merc that I am running with the aid of the program MQ2. Does that help clear things up? Why would folks recommend not using MQ2melee? It's a component of the program. I am confused. I am new to this whole macro thing and I don't have your background.

by "just you" i mean "using no automation like anything that macroquest provides up to and including plugins, macros, Lua scripts, or any other thing that may take control and make your character exhibit behavior that is outside of what you are specifically inputting to it." I did not mean "YOU" as in your literal human person.

if you are not doing /mac kissassist or similar, i suspect mq2melee is causing your woes as mentioned.

you can unload mq2melee with a /plugin mq2melee unload and see if the behavior stops

Oh, ok...lol. Thanks for bearing with me on this.

Ok...Another question. Do I have to type in, /mac kissassist whenever I bring in a toon, and do I have to do that for every additional EQ toon I bring in during the same session?

Yup, for each Toon that you want to have a macro running on, you would start that macro on that toon.

so re-reading back at this you did mention "the raw tab" which leads me to believe you're using muleassist (a macro) with the mq2mule interface (a plugin to configure muleassist).

so now we know what you're using :)

You will want to check your settings for that, and i, personally, would recommend turning usemq2melee=1 to usemq2melee=0
