Guide - NOS - The Spirit Fades

This took me a couple tries to beat. The first attempt, the adds on the gumdrop split overwhelmed my box team as from what I could tell, they are all unmezzable.

Positioning - I placed my group in front of Grakaw in the middle of the room and set my SK to "Sic Tank" mode. This is pretty much where the entire fight will take place.

Healer/Buffer - Put Grakaw on Extended Target window for easy targeting for the Remove Curse and Stat Buff phase.
Cleric - Remove Greater Curse works well.
Shaman/Beastlord - Use a low level Dex or STR buff.

Start of the fight. Had all toons in Chase Assist mode. To initiate the fight, have cleric cast a heal on Grakaw to spawn the Leach mob. It's an easy tank/spank mob. Once it dies, don't waste any time, and have Cleric cast Remove Greater Curse on Grakaw to spawn the Gnawer. Again, straight tank/spank fight. Once it dies, use your Shaman/Bst or whichever toon has a stat buff spell and cast it on Grakaw. This will spawn the gumdrop mob.

Note: I think there is an emote or possible add if you wait too long to pop the next mob.

At this point, I went ahead & popped Dragon Glyph on my entire team to help buffer when the adds started coming in. At 50% on gumdrop, he will split into two. Focus on one of them and either off-tank the other, or just keep the 2nd on your MT as well. Switch off the gumdrop to kill any adds. I don't think they're HP % based, but instead timed. It was a little hectic at the start, but once you get the adds under control, it is smooth sailing from there. Just keep focusing down the gumdrop and switching to kill adds as they pop. Do the same on the 2nd gumdrop after the first dies.

Enjoy the rewards! 🍺

The stupid thing with this mission is there is Zero time to waste. If you have to stop and mem a spell or you Tab over to your shammy and he isnt ready then the whole thing starts again. And the Stat buff will stay on him - so then you need to find another stat buff. Str/Dex/Stam all work.
I used a shaman and did squall to start the mission.
But good advice - have Grakaw on Extended Target - have the spells ready to cast. very easy otherwise.

Anyone know how to get the achieve Thick Skin? I randomly got it on 2 guys. I know it has something to do with the green auras during the sperm guy phase.

The mob that appears with the cure weakness evinced does an emote after a long period of time, and will call a name if they are out of range of the aura they will not get hit and get the achiev.

It appears some of the adds are mezzable
The lesser lethargy are mezzable. (blue con) the other lesser are not, weakness and manipulation (white/black con). I have the bard mez the lethargy, then kill off the weakness and manipulation mobs, then back to boss/bosses. if boss hasn't split yet and no other mobs are up I kill the mezzed mobs too they die fast. After the split I just let them be mezzed they poof at the end.

There is also an achiev for spawning/killing? The mobs in the least destructive order, that is heal him first, spawn demonstrated depletion Cure him second, spawn weakness evinced. Stat buff him get manifest lethargy, Then I am not sure if the order of the kill for the split mob matters but I got the acheiv killing drowsiness before apathy.

Instead of killing the named and hoping to be quick enough, just switch over at 4% and trigger the next named. They take roughly 20 seconds to become active, leaving time to kill the first one.

The first two nameds was easy enough, as they spawn alone and just needs to be killed. The blobs I did not focus on adds. I killed the first one and once it split, I used glyph and burned. Once the 2 split blob died the adds despawned. No need to focus on them.

Looking for some input here. Yesterday I was able to complete all three phases, but when I finished the 3rd phase (gum drops) to spheres of energy popped and caused craze damage then I got the emote that the mob was refreshed. Has anyone ran into this, how did you over come it? For reference, group is Paladin (manual), Cleric and Enchanter (Kissassist) and Mage, Beastlord and Berserker (CWTN). Driving with the paladin, I was able to cast the Heal, Cure, and stat buff with the pally so there was no delay between the death of one mob and the start of the next phase.

I really thought I had it beat until the lightning spheres appeared, I could target them. So not sure what happened with them popping.

it sounds specifically like the thread you just posted - asking the same thing in multiple places really suck for people who are trying to help you, and the disjoined and overlapping conversations that end up taking place -

I did a video on the mission in my guide/tutorial > here < in case that is helpful for you.

you can actually cast before you need to, since there is a delay from next mob spawning

a pal, clr, ench, mag, bst, ber should have 0 problems doing this mission in the "Heal, Stat, Cure" configuration. I'd suggest that route if you're just trying to get a kill

Thanks, my apologies if this post seemed similar to my post in a sperate post, this one was specifically about the energy orbs. I watched your video before ever trying the mission. I was just wondering if the energy orbs were due to lack of DPS or something.

I think the energy orb pather mobs is only if you do it out of order. did you do Heal > Cure > Buff?

Yep, Did heal /cure/buff but it was off of a fail before so I maybe should have exited the mission then gotten a new one and started fresh

Yah I've seen it bug out continuing. Double mobs and all sorts of stuff

So sounds like the Zlandi achievement where you'll need a second tank to get the achievement on your primary tank.

I got on tank by waiting till right before the message, FD on tank and tanked it with rog. It landed on first try, I taunted and moved to safe spot. had no issues doing it this way.

So what is the most destructive order? I tried stat , cure, heal, and that wasn't it :p

I also tried the drowsy .. nope

This is also the only way to get the Thick Skin achiev. Dps will need to go crazy slow on the last mob and stay out of the green aura.

I don't think it matter for the thick skin achiev, I do it the easy way and just DPS off on 2nd mob till it casts it on everyone in group.. moving around to avoid the auras.

Hmm, I will have to try that. I don't think I have ever seen them the other way, I will try holding off dps next time.

Weakness Evinced devitalizes the skin of {C}.

Make GIna trigger.

Thick Skin Achievement ( BUFF-HEAL-CURE ). - Order in which you need to cast on Grakaw.

Single target Stat BUFF not HP Buff on Grakaw

AoE Heal will activate the Heal part on Grakaw. So be careful not to accidentally cast a group heal before or between spawns.( unless intended ).

Single target CURE on Grakaw will activate last mob that will start the emotes for thick skin.

Slow ROll last mob. All DPS off except MT or merc. until everyone you want gets emote.

Run person that gets emote away from green (huge) aura.

You can do the whole event right on top of Grakaw.

When doing Stat Heal Cure - after Stat and killing the gumdrops I always get this message and the event restarts:

I see my issue - need to engage heal right after gumdrop is dead even if trash is up.

To keep that from happening, I make sure all the add gumdrops are down before killing the last big gumdrop. Then I can go straight to healing to spawn the second mob.

If you do it the most destructive, the energy stuff happens on the wrong mob (heal/leech), and I am pretty sure that is broken..

Anyone have a timer for Weakness Evinced? I keep trying to time after the first emote and get different timers.

That should do ya. ( No discrepancies ).

To the best of my abilities that appears to be exactly 60 sec.

I could be wrong.

Happy Hunting and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! (or whatever kinda Christmas you want to have )

Anyone have a sure fire way to get the achieve thick skin? I can't even get the guy to emote my tank.
you can use timers and FD aggro before boss casts it and /pray. Or Use a pet or any other class. I did it with ranger and mage pet. Mage pet the best option of course.
Somehow someone said that ramp target doesn't get tick skin also, so I made sure my tank wasn't second on aggro list also. It took couple tries and a lot of emotes before my tank got the emote, while pet tanking.

You also must understand burnout and devitalize mechanics.

Boss fucks up with the entity on top of aggro list, reducing their melee offensive capabilities. Also, he picks the entity on the bottom of the aggro list, reducing their casting capabilities, on the raid version is a mana drain, dunno about group version, I never cared to check.

Tried to get this in my tank today without any luck. I even sent all my dps to pok to limit targets. When just shm and war were in the shm got hit 4 times. I brought bst back in to pet tank. Setup bst to tank and war to dps, howled on war but he never lost agro :( mob preceded to hit bst 4 times in a row.

I did it using a BST for tanking, Merc Healer and the SK. The rest zoned out. SK did no dmg at all and got it in first try.
Hmm, I guess I could switch to bst tank before the mob is active. Then wait till the war gets it and burn it down.

You say heal stat cure here but everywhere else I see either heal cure stat or the hard way. Is heal stat cure easier than heal cure stat or something?

no clue, but you can see how easy it was in the vid

So in regards to Thick Skin achivement.
You need to stay in the Green aura and not getting hit by the lightnings´correct?

No, someone will get called out, i believe its like every 90seconds. That person can then get the achievement by staying out of the Green stuff.

like this react, when emoted, will pause and run to safe spot at zonein, then run back

trigger=#*#Weakness Evinced devitalizes the skin of #1#.#*#

Or if you want to avoid having to run entirely you can drag the boss who does the thick skin auras near the zone in. There’s a spot that misses the auras entirely but doesn’t cause it to leash. Basically south side of the tunnel out from where mission happens right at the area it opens up to where trash mobs are

Yeah, saw a video of one doing that now. Nice one

That's what I always did and it works great. Don't need to move at all. Just have your class doing the triggers on Grak run in, trigger and pull to the zone in area. Slow kill (just tank and heal) until as many get called as possible. Something to note, the toon highest on the hate list will not get called for the debuff, so assuming that's your tank, that toon cannot get it. To get it for your tank, you can Pet or Merc tank it easily. Also, all your guys do need to get on the hate list to get called, so make sure they all do something small to get added.

Here is what I did, a gathering of all the info from the different posts on the forums.

Buffs
Cleric - Any Heal > Remove Greater Curse > Furious Strength
Shaman - Any Heal > Remove Greater Curse > Unity or Dexterity

Easiest Order Achievement
1. Heal Grakaw -> Kill Leech (Demonstrated Depletion)
2. Cure Curse on Grakaw -> Kill Gnawer (Weakness Evinced)
3. Stat Buff on Grakaw -> Kill Big Red Gumdrop (Manifest Lethargy)-> Kill 2 Manifest Gumdrops

Most Destructive Order Achievement
1. Stat Buff on Grakaw -> Kill Big Red Gumdrop (Manifest Lethargy)-> Kill 2 Manifest Gumdrops
2. Heal Grakaw -> Kill Leech (Demonstrated Depletion)
3. Cure Curse on Grakaw -> Kill Gnawer (Weakness Evinced)

Thick Skin Achievement -

  • Weakness Evinced - Does an emote after a long period of time
    • Will call a name if they are out of range of the aura they will not get hit and get the achieve
    • Slow roll - All DPS off except MT, until everyone you want gets emote
    • Drag Weakness Evinced and tank him - at the end of the tunnel to cave LOC 729, -523,182
    • Emote happens every 60 seconds
    • To get on tank wait till right before the message, FD on tank and tank on another toon.
Once lands can taunt it back
    • Toon highest on the hate list will not get called for the debuff
    • Everyone needs to get on the hate list to get called

Gameplay
  • Set up at Grakaw on the ledge
    • Tank all but Weakness Evinced (If trying for Achievement) here
  • Healer/Buffer - Put Grakaw on Extended Target window for easy targeting for the Remove Curse and Stat Buff phase
  • At 50% on gumdrop, he will split into two. Focus on one of them and either off-tank the other, or just keep the 2nd on your MT as well. Switch off the gumdrop to kill any adds.
  • Always clear all adds before boss

Has anyone worked out a script for this mission? I play a DPS, and use MQ for rest of group. Trying to figure out the best settings and logic to get my group through the mission to farm gear and points.
