When doing the "Power Corrupts" mission in Shadow Haven, Commander Yaminshavraylin will port you if you're too close instead of giving you an update. It seems that the port range for this is 100 units. So keep an eye on your distance in your target window and save yourself the headache of trying to find the perfect spot. You can be invis and don't need to be in line of sight to get the updates. 115 distance worked fine for getting all of the updates for this quest.
