Question - Noob gear

So I have levelled a group of 6 (3 wizzies, Clr, Brd and War) in LC (to L66 with 3 runs 170% exp), and am about to take them to do their thing. I have been looking around for gear that I can throw on them, something cheap and cheerful, but with no real luck (defiant for all of them is hard to come by and silly expensive for the throw away items that they are). My main is maxxed tradeskills .. so that would be ok if someone might kindly suggest something.

Also, are there any macros about for spell casting skill ups, I cant see anything.

1) gift of legacies lost in the /claim window can get some armor, if you have a purchased heroic character (and I emphasize purchased because free ones won't work): http://www.redguides.com/community/...d-Elegant-Defiant-Gear?highlight=free+defiant

What I've been doing lately is buying a full set of base TBM gear in the Plane of Tranquility. You can buy the Remnants of Tranquility in bazaar (need about 150 per character). The HP/Mana isnt great (about 200-300) per piece, but you do get max level focuses and instrument mods. The great thing is you dont need the expansion either.

My suggestion... is the same toons you used to PL them in LC, run in like Hills of Shade or Lopping Plains or comparable level zone. Put the PL'd toons naked in the group and resting ina safe locatin close enough to get the xp while you use the higher toons to farm. You will be PL'n the lower toons up along with getting elegant gear drops to put on them. As you get the gear, put them on the toons your' PL'n. At the same time you're higher level toons will be doing some farming that you can vendor sell at the smae time. Hits three things for you that way, XP'n lower toons, gearing them up and giving you sellable wares.

For spell casting skill ups I recently used the Spell Casting Skillup Trainer v1.5 11/04/0212 from the macropedia list(under melee spells & skills) and it worked well.
