Getting "Incorrect Client Version" on fresh install of 11/19 Update. Was there a Ninja Patch?

What's a patch and how did it become a ninja? Because I would love to become a ninja. Please advise.

Coming back from a very . . . very long break, I don't remember mid-day patches unless it was an extremely seriously bug/exploit. Since coming back I've noticed that isn't the case anymore. Poor customer service philosophy.

every expansion this happens, they will do this maybe 3 or 4 times in the next week until they get us all to find the beta-bugs, my guess is the beta testers who actually had to pay for the upgrade to beta test it were not doing their jobs, testing....

And I would completely disagree with you. The people in beta and posters on the boards did extensive testing and reporting. The vast majority of it was ignored and/or they didn't have time to finish so they're just rolling out the rest of the stuff to actually complete it over the next few weeks.

I dunno man, while I see you've qualified your dissent, I gotta say that those patch notes indicate some very very basic shit that was not addressed before rolling this out.

why leave it in beta when you can release it and fix it later?

It's not like any of the player base is going to walk away because the expansion isn't right, after 16 ish years, they know we'll grumble and wait for them to fix the mistakes.

If they had chosen to push back the release, the boards would be lit up about people taking vacation days to play and they paid for a product on a given date and ...

Is it bad that i'm more irritated it keeps breaking mq2 than excited to see new content?... lol

Everything that was fixed today and a large portion of bugs/fuckedupcontent was already reported in beta and either got ignored on forums/feedbacks or was told they didn't have time to fix it. It wasn't the beta testers, Raz. Release of TBM really should've been pushed back ~2weeks to let the devs actually finish the Campaign.

Test server reports bugs too that are ignored 99.9999% of the time :P

Its actually easy math
1 release the code 98% complete as beta, for money! Pay to play with broken shit!
2 give people digital Xs and Os for buying early
3 spend 1 afternoon reading the notes from beta testers, fix the "quick-fix" shit
4 release it and watch the cash roll in!
5 now try to fix all the shit you should have fixed before releasing the turd into the punchbowl that is eq

They go PAID to have pook shmucks test what they should have tested as they designed the shit!

I mean as a programmer I am not releasing my shit until I test 99.5% of it, yeah unknown shit may happen and you will need to tweak, but these notes are all for shit that should never have been released to the public!
