Question - Newbie question

Ok so I got things installed and somewhat setup. I'm currently only running a 2 box with a 70 necro (healer merc)/ 61 Sham (tank merc) and pets on both necro and sham and driving with my necro. I downloaded some kissassist ini files for both toons and have them saved. Do I run kissassist on both characters or just on my sham since I'm driving with the necro? I also noticed that while running kissassist on sham, she seems to sit and mem spells and stands to cast quite often. Is this normal?
I've been letting sham attack but may change that to just have her sit and cast some DoT's.

you would run kissassist on any toon you want kissassist to automate on.

if you want to entirely run the necro by yourself, then you wouldn't want kissassist running (and i'd also ensure you have mq2melee unloaded).


since we dont know what spells she is memorizing, it is hard to answer your question - but i'd imagine they were buffs you needed.

ok thats what I figured for the necro part. As far as the sham goes...the .ini file I downloaded for a lvl 60 sham had buffs loaded in the code...it just seems like it sits to mem and then stands to cast quite often... and just now looking at the .ini it has "Cannibalize IV|me|cond2" in slots buffs7-buffs13. I'm guessing all the sitting and stuff was happening just to buff everyone in the group and once that is done it will stop. As far as needing to have "Cannibalize IV" listed 7 times might be overkill.

Might I suggest trying RGMercs first before KA? It's an easier out of the box solution with "some" customization until you get used to things. It will set up things per level so you don't have to hunt for Ini's and troubleshoot. For anything automated you will want to run your macro/Lua/plugin on each toon you want to have it automate. And as Sic said, there are plugins you'll want to disable if you want to totally run manually so it doesn't suddenly do something confusing without your consent.

I think I figured out most of my issue. It was trying to cast shroud of the spirits over and over because it wouldn't stick due to one of my merc healer buffs being better.

That happened to me too at the beginning. And also keep an eye out for spells that require components, he gets stuck with those too sometimes.

I'm with Doc Jones here. The best place to start is RGMERCS for many new players. Their Necro automation is really good. From Mercs you might graduate to the Plugins as I did. The Necro plugin is really incredible. You might want to consider driving with your Shaman a couple of reasons. First the Necro macro from RGMercs and The Plugins if you chose that are amazing tools for the class. Secondly you could be pulling with a chain armor class and pulling with slow instead of snare which means you can pull closer to camp before Mercenary toons engage.
