This is a work in progress. It's designed to put out decent DPS. If I was playing the necro by hand, I'd probably configure it differently, but I wanted an .ini configuration that would work decently with fast under twenty-second kills, but scale up with longer kills. In other words, this is my lazy-man's configuration for all group situations with one HUGE CAVEAT.
Remote Blight is probably your best DPS spell in today's game, but it's an AE aura and you'll want to comment (!) it out when your tank can't handle multiple mobs. I usually keep it up when killing blue and yellow trash in Stratos or pulling mobs in Ash, but in Mearatus, I turn it off, because it will get me killed (it works if you camp right in the center and can handle the occasional named popping on you). You definitely won't want Remote Blight operating if you're doing any kind of mezzing.
A few comments on my design theory,
BUFFS
Buffs4=Mortifier's Unity|Dual|Flesh to Venom Rk. II
I do this, because I want Flesh to Venom up.
Buffs13=Flesh to Poison|ME|Cond1
Condition 1 makes sure that you have Flesh to Venom up before you cast Flesh to Poison, since they stack if you cast them in the right order, but if you cast flesh to venom second, it will overwrite flesh to poison.
I had Flesh to Venom and Flesh to Poison memmed at once point for casting as DPS when they went down, but I can't spare the spell slots. Same with convergence; battle rezzes are nice, but can't spare the spell slot.
DPS
I leave a lot of trash in my DPS stack, because in testing, it didn't seem to hurt DPS much, but it didn't do a ton for it either.
Don't save Blightbringer's Tunic of the Grave for named. It's on a five minute timer. I have my 2.5 Epic and maxed crit aas, so I don't want multiple crit enchancements going at once. Condition 7 is my attempt to do this. Same with Embalmer's Carapace. I use it more for the crit enhancement than the rune. With Remote Sphere of Blight, it recasts only when the aura isn't up.
I put my fast dots first, because too often the mob will be dead before I get to them otherwise. In a perfect world, I'd cast the longer dots first if the mob was going to be up for over 30 seconds or so.
Ignite memories does nothing and should be taken out. By this, I mean it never gets cast, because other stuff gets cast. I had it in and just didn't take it out yet.
I've played with casting Refute for Blood at the beginning as an opener, hoping to pop Chaotic Power. It doesn't really matter if you're doing continuous pulls.
Condition 9 was there for those AAs I wanted to save for named, but I'm not using it right now as I wanted to up my sustained DPS.
Results
Using the tank pet, I got 118K DPS over the course of 42 mobs in Stratos. The kill time ranged from 5 seconds to 82 seconds, but average was 25 seconds. This is a work in progress and I'll make more changes. If a DPS can't do 100K average sustained, he's not worth putting in the group. Right now, my necro just qualifies. He's also doing the pulling, keeping at least two mobs in camp at all times. That may impact his DPS some.
