• Hail, we're RedGuides. We want you to play six (yes, 6!) EverQuest characters at once. We have scripts and a friendly community to help, please join our playstyle and say hello! 👋
  • We've added LLM sections to our Terms & Rules and Resource Rules, for everyone's sanity & in-game safety.
    a. Do not replace your voice with an LLM. This goes for your posts and your scripts. Drafting and editing with a tool is fine, but don't take you out of what you share.
    b. Do not replace your EQ character's voice with an LLM. We don't want scripts that speak over /ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private.

    Why Does RG Review Scripts?
Nearly every LLM-written Lua script we see is making your character do impossible things, and rarely in a way that's beneficial to you. We've seen heavy server hammering, /target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs.

You are welcome to use LLMs as a tool to structure, draft, and edit your work, but please read critically before hitting /lua run

Question - my mq2 window isnt appearing when firing up MQ on one of my computers

Not sure when this happened but I fired up one of my comps today that I havent played in a few weeks, downloaded monk/war plugin and installed. Started MQ but the MQ window isnt showing up on any of the 6 accounts screen. It is running, as they are buffing routines etc but...wheres the window at?

Double check you've updated to latest Vanilla. There was a bug with chatwindow plugin around Xmas.

Try "/mqchat reset" and if that doesn't work try "/plugin mq2chatwnd load"

I tried both of those and still have no MQ chat window. KA is running I manually started it and the toons are going thru buff routines, just no chat window sigh...

Not working as well, tried both commands, still won't work. Checking for newest version now. Will post back later.

I had the same challenge when I downloaded the app. It turns out that MQ2 wasn't installed to the proper library under Everquest. Once I reinstalled MQ2 to the right folder it took off right away. Check the library...see if that's the problem.

I can't remember on the top of my head what library it has to go...Everquest/UIfiles maybe or Maps? You can check, or someone may know on the top of their head...
