Hello! I apologize for the lack of updates in the past to this document. I'm repicking up the project and will now be continually updated this as I progress and do things. This guide is meant to be a living document and help others achieve their goals with minimum to no impact on the surrounding players.
Some things I'd like to state first.

  • I am not afk grinding.
    • I pilot toon 1
    • I automate the other 5.
  • I will intentionally stop my grind if others come near me.
    • I aim to utilize good exp zones that aren't generally populated
  • I do not use external money that isn't generated by the party.
    • This means some grind spots might be for money and can be skipped.

    • Level 1-13ish: I use tutorial.mac
      • What to watch out for:
        • Macro does not care about other people's mobs. This could get you reported if the zone is populated.
        • Macro "seems" to get stuck farming rats but it's actually trying to hit certain level brackets.
        • The more toons you run at the same time, the slower the progression will be due to lack of mobs.
        • Does occasionally get stuck in some random locations but overall not too bad
      • Why use this:
        • Easiest hands off method I've found
        • Gets some very basic beginner gear.
        • What to do: Make your new toon, (Optional set up your mq2autologin)
      • What to do:
        • Type /mac tutorial
        • Monitor and let it ride!
  • [*]MQ2Autologin Setup:
    • Go to Accounts Tab
      • Add Account
        • Account Name
        • Eq Install
          • Make sure to add name as well
        • Password
        • Repeat this for each account
    • Relaunch each account to populate your characters.
    • Go to Profiles tab
      • Add Group to set up your party.
        • Name it whatever you like.
      • Click Add Profile
        • Select the character
        • Add a hotkey(I use CTRL+SHIFT+#)
        • Repeat for the rest of your party.
    • Launch selected group to ensure everything works smoothly.
    [*]
  • [*]After Tutorial(PREP):
    • I use newtoon.mac to ensure i get all nice and prepped.
    • If you are over level 12(?) It won't teleport you back to the tutorial at the end.
This gets you a bag, and your fellowship stuff. Both very good.
    • Then I create my mq2autogroup for the party and relog them all using mq2autologin so i have my hotkeys for switching set up.
Ensure you set the roles for the party as it makes it way easier in the future. Then i use a handy optimize macro i found to set up my party using dannet.
      • to simplify this ill give you the commands I use.
On my main character for the party, I use these commands in order.
        • /dge /mac optimize.mac plugins alt
        • /dge /mac optimize.mac settings alt
        • /mac optimize.mac plugins main
        • /mac optimize.mac settings main
    • Next I create and invite each toon to a fellowship (THIS IS HUGE!)
      • Allowing a character to teleport and give a central camp to the party is super effective.
    • After all the previous stuff is done i make sure to get all my characters their necessary spells.
      • You can use your preferred scribe macro but I found allscribe works for me.
    • Now that we have the tutorial completed, you have choices. Pick and setup whatever one you like to use.
      • KissAssist
      • RGMercs
    [*]
  • [*]After Tutorial to level ~18: Kurn's Tower
    • What to watch out for:
      • Other players(This will be a watch from now on as we are trying not to impact anybody else :))
    • Why use this:
      • Unpopulated Zone.
      • Old Hotzone.
      • Many bone chips for your nec/sk's
      • decent mob quantity
    • What to do:
      • Find a spot you are comfortable in.
      • Set up all your rgmercs settings. (This isn't an rgmercs guide! Check out their wiki and pages for an indepth guide!)
      • Start your grind
    • Loot:
      • Any gems or stackable items
      • Defiant gear
      • Trade Skill stuff(optional)
    [*]
  • [*]18 to ~25: Paladual Caverns
    • What to watch out for:
      • Other players(This will be a watch from now on as we are trying not to impact anybody else :))
      • Runners
    • Why use this:
      • Unpopulated Zone.
      • Decent Money
      • Good Mob Density
    • What to do:
      • Find a spot you are comfortable in(Either C1 or C2).
      • Set up all your rgmercs settings.
      • Start your grind
    • Loot:
      • Any gems or stackable items
      • Defiant gear
      • Trade Skill stuff(optional)
      • IGNORE SULLIED GEAR
        • It's not worth the inventory space
    [*]
  • [*]Bazaar Time:
    • At this time i subbed an additional account so i can leave them offline trading in the bazaar.
      • I used Bazaar.mac to quickly set my prices then shut down the character.
      • I set and forget, I don't try to keep prices updated and instead update before i go to bed.
    • I have the resource storage on my main, so i drop all tradeskill items there.
    • What do I sell(Current List based on level guide)?
      • Defiant Gear
      • Rare Drops
      • Prizes(from my mains DB Cash)
    [*]
  • [*]18 to ~25: Stone Hive
    • What to watch out for:
      • Other players(This will be a watch from now on as we are trying not to impact anybody else :))
      • Runners
    • Why use this:
      • Decent Money
      • Amazing Mob Density
    • What to do:
      • Find a spot you are comfortable in(I like the mazes due to difficult of players to find you).
      • Set up all your rgmercs settings.
      • Start your grind
    • Loot:
      • Any non-quest stackable items
      • Defiant gear
      • Trade Skill stuff(optional)
      • IGNORE QUEST ITEMS
        • They aren't sellable to vendors
        • Players don't want them.
    [*]

Thank you for getting this far! This is my first bit of the guide and where I'm currently at. I truly hope this worked for you or helped you out in some way. I am trying to credit as many people as I can, as I write the guide because I use a lot of things from the community and decided I wanted to try and give back!

I will post more as my toon's progress through the zones. But until then,

As always I welcome feedback as long as it's constructive =)
Happy hunting and good luck!

Thanks for providing this, I've used it to get my 3 x ftp characters to 40. :)

I would also add that the Tuffeins are social, they have medics in amongst them that heal, and also there are a couple of higher level named that can spawn. Some of the little blighters can run at low health which can create a hell of a sh*t storm!

I would mention in Blightfire, the Wasps is for me the fastest and best EXP all the way to level 35 + . Reason is , so many mobs at close proximity and they do not run, with no special abilities ( like root or stun etc. etc.). Even when they turn light blue , they still give good amount of EXP because at the rate you can kill them is ridiculous.

Have you tried just starting in Crescent Reach and staying there until Blightfire opens up around 20? A lot less travel time that route.

All you need to do is get druid damage shield and regen buff from guild hall. Then go back to blightfire and go crazy killing mobs. Like I said, its more efficient if mobs do not run, so all you need to do is hit them once and grab the next mob
