I mean the kind of song you hear and instantly for whatever reason you just feel better.

Floridays by the Late Great Jimmy Buffett R.I.P.
Corpus Christi Bay by Robert Earl Keen
Becky's So Hot By Fletcher

One reminds me of home for 25 years and the other 2 just crack me up.

Jerimiah was a Bullfrog/Joy to the World - Three Dog Night
Pharrell - Happy
The Pride - 5FDP
Sitting on the dock of the bay - Otis Redding

I could keep going for so long and so many genres. But these are always high on my feel good list.

Motorhead - rock n roll
sheer terror - did you just meet me
poison idea - plastic bomb
turbonegro - all my friends are dead
Ramones - rockaway beach

in no particular order but these tunes have a great melody and/or singalong chorus

yes im a lifelong music nerd i may not know a ton about computers but i go full rainman with music lol

Oh wow, where to start...

Sammy Hagar - Baby's on Fire (had a girlfriend back in HS like this, I was in heaven)
Bill Medley and Jennifer Warrens - I Have Had the Time of My Life (title says it all, makes me remember good times when I'm in a crappy mood)
Bee Gees - You should be Dancing (OMG I know, but I was 22, in the Air Force, single, and I could dance lol, I got laid every weekend. Brings a smile to my face everytime.)
The Righteous Brothers - You've Lost that Lovin Feelin (chick cheated on me and while I was breaking up with her in the car, I played this song and she started crying like rivers, I smile every time I hear this song)
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart (just one of those "rev me up" songs)
Poison - Every Rose has it's Thorns (I just like the tune)
Bob Seger - Night Moves (I can really relate to this song, long before I knew anything about anything, I was 17 when this came out lol)
Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes (I had a GF with BD eyes and if you roll your eyes at this just go google her and see what I mean, awesome eyes man)

I could go on for quite awhile here. I have my sound in EQ turned way down and play music instead. I have over 2700 songs in my playlist. And let me tell you, when you get as old as I am, well how did Bruce Spingsteen once sing it?

I had a friend was a big baseball player
Back in high school
He could throw that speedball by you
Make you look like a fool, boy
Saw him the other night at this roadside bar
I was walking in, he was walking out
We went back inside, sat down, had a few drinks
But all he kept talking about was

[Chorus]
Glory days, well they'll pass you by
Glory days, in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory days (Alright)

That's me, Mr Nostalgia, I can't remember my name sometimes, but I had some glory years and can recall most of them lol. Ah life, don't let it pass you by my friends. Can't say I didn't have a good time though.

Vrak

This is about songs that make you smile right?
Well, one day driving down the road a song came on and I started really digging it. Tapping the steering wheel and enjoying the ride. Then my wife asked me if I knew I was enjoying a song about incest? Really? Doesn't the verse " she's my brothers daughter but she needs some loving anyways." Give it away. ? Now I really smile and laugh when I hear it, still a good song.

Banjo Odyssey by The Dead South.

My list is rather strange. I grew up with an older brother who loved 80s rock and heavy metal, thusly I learned by osmosis to enjoy much of it.
Dance the night away - Van Halen
When it's love - Van Halen
Ride the Sky - Helloween
Operation Mindcrime - Queensryche entire album is great.

As I grew into an adult I sang Renaissance music professionally for about 8 years, thus a ying/yang to my list appears:
Ave Virgo - Adrian Willaert
Ad te levavi oculos meos - Orlando Lassus
Benedicta Es Caelorum Regina - Josquin dez Prez
Abide with me - traditional hymn arrangement.
