Question - Multiple zerkers, and epic farming

Hey guys, so I added to my original 3 box of sk, shaman, bard with three zerkers.

I’m about to start working on thier epic quests. Having never done these quests, and I’m guessing there are people here who have been in the same situation, I’m wondering what is the best way to go about working through them? Should I run one at a time, start to finish, or should I run all three silmultaneously and camp each part three times before moving on to the next stage? Should I camp each camp separately and rotate?

Any input welcome.

Cheers

Run all 3 simultaneously. Keep them at the same step etc. it’s more efficient that way.

I was thinking along the same lines. But with these old epic quests, you often get bottle necks, where certain NPCs won’t spawn for 3 days, or even for a few hours etc, that may cause issues. I’m guess what I’m really asking is, are there any of these types of bottle necks in the zerker quest I need to be aware of, and to plan for?

If I remember correctly there are a few ground spawn ferns in some a GoD zone that are on a 1 hour respawn timer and you need a few of them.

To my experience there are REALLY bad time sinks in the 1.0 quests, but they arent as bad in the 1.5/2.0 quests. Which one are gonna do?

I recently did 2 zerks at the same time. Gorilla in EJ took some time, as did the seb protector but otherwise it was pretty straightforward. There was nothing that stood out as particularly painful (once I gave up on the fine steel mesh as part of the 1.5 prequest) and just did it from 1.0.

I spread zerkers out for some of the poopier drops, and i have non zerkers farming the tradable pieces - the cragbeast blood, the power core thing.

Rotate the zerks at the ferns, camp fear and EJ seperately those can take a while. The drops u can preloot, do so.

I personally do the 1.0 for zerkers and skip the pre1.5, ive had terrible luck on the pre 1.5 pirate captain dude

thinking of doing the same and going through 1.0 as even the very first step on prequest is proving to be a pita already.
Cheers for tips, this is pretty much exactly what I was looking for 👍

New group with no high level help here. With today’s defiant gear at what level would it be possible to do these epics myself? Currently low 50s so I’m in no hurry. Cleric, bard, SK, 3 zerkers.

here are some more tips when you get to the Seb Protectors "Break Axe" portion
you have to get the seb protectors to 75%, then you can break the axes to break the axes
you target the ancient seb protector - but you stand facing corner, and turn on attack to cycle the weapons your attack will be on but you are NOT hitting the thing each axe will break, and go on your cursor
then you cycle them
after all 4 have been broken you can kill the seb protector to get the final red emote
(you can do multiple zerkers at a time, but don't kill the seb protector dude until everyone has their axes broken) you 100% want mq2berzerker off or pause, mq2melee off i literally just /unload to get it to 75% is scary too,
i take off most my gear
the little froggos can complete heal the ancient seb guy too - so you want to have them dead, since you need the mob at or below 75 to crack the sticks you want to be nudged in the corner too, because they do their punt thing and you don't want to get thrown and then riposte it to death

well the 2.0 you're going to need to be 85+ (and maybe help) since you have to do the OMM raid for the anguish piece (but iirc, and i might not be, i used to solo that place at ~100 with my necro to try and get the robe)

not sure for 1.0 as there are some raid mobs in there

I don't remember the berzeker epic being too terribly difficult. It was created after the original class epics so they didn't really have the motivation to go all out and make super long BS. That said, the real answer is that it depends on what step you're on and what it requires. If a step involves camping a PH mob for a named to spawn that drops 1, and only 1, quest item, that should probably be done separately and rotated. If it involves an event that can be done over and over, back to back, do that together.

interesting thing i discovered on the praklion of the cauldron named. if you can kill him very quickly (before he runs, which hes supposed to do at 70% and 30% - i 1 rounded him) he instantly respawns and drops the axe each time. handy when you have multiple characters needing the item.

Is there any reason to do the 1.0/1.5 versus going straight the the 2.0 these days?

Thanks. Haven't done them in quite a while. I have a few coming up too.

Need to do the research to see which classes are "must haves still". Currently my SK is the only one with his epics.

sk, clr, zerk, bard, shm, necro (2.5 for necro since they equip the weapon), rog

Well, got SK, Rogue, Zerk, Cleric, and Bard.....guess I have work to do. Heh.

As part what Sic shared, Lightning Core from MPG was arguably the single worst experience in my case. I'd farm that hard while working on the other parts. This is actually an easy farm for a higher level character in hunter mode. From my experience it's a very rare drop but the silver lining is that the drop is tradeable. I'd have one of your accounts with a capable character hunt 3 of those while working on the rest. That said, using MQ2Berzerker I get really good DPS from the 1 berzerker I have, so your end game may be really mind blowing! You may miss having an actual cleric with your end goal team (combat rez remains useful to me at times with a pretty good team), but things may die fast enough for you that it ends up not being a concern.

And Gohast is correct about the ground spawns in GoD. Those are actually easy, just need the time. Need to loot one in each zone, twice. For each Berzerker. The good thing is it's a guaranteed spawn, as opposed to the random drops like the Lightning Core for instance.

Once I have the zerker crew squared away, I’m planning on levelling a cleric and a beaslord, so I can swap out a couple of the zerkers for a more stable and varied group, for harder content. Though I’m also planning on getting my shaman staff of forbidden rites, so I have a combat Rez on hand when I don’t have a cleric in group.

As for the zerker epics. Currently I’ve completed 1.0 on one of them, waiting on the final npc spawn for the other two, and I’ve started farming some of the parts for 1.5 in the mean time. Mq2 certainly makes these things that much easier.

Thanx for the tips on farming. I’ll look into that.

Make 3 berserkers they said. It’ll be fun they said.
All I’m gonna say is: cragbeast blood, what a bitch to farm 😂

i take it back. Cragbeast blood is a dream compared to lightning core. Been demolishing MPG for about 12 hours and still haven’t got one (need 3 😩)
