Question - Multiboxing with integrated graphics (1 Viewer)

How well do integrated graphics perform vs a discrete GPU? These cards are ridiculously expensive and I am considering a Ryzen with an integrated GPU.

You can run dozens of eq clients with them.

With framelimiter background processes can be limited and you can get 60fps on the foreground one.

Integrated graphics are perfect for running many instances of eq. Especially with framelimiter, you can run as many instances as your RAM can handle with no worries about vram (integrated graphics do come at a slight cost to your actual RAM).

If you have the option and ability to use a dGFX it is worth it to run one. Even if it is a cheap little 8GB from the local TarMartCo.

I run an eGPU on a mini pc I set up for my kid. Haven't tried EQ on it but it is a performance improvement for the stuff he plays and takes some of the heat out of the little case.

Yes! I've got the same CPU (from a different vendor) and routinely 6-box. The device never gets warm enough to spin up the fan.

I run 1920x1080 with most graphics options set for mid-range.

One trick with these AMD chips, you frequently can set the graphics memory option in the BIOS. Mine even has a "Game Optimized" setting which allocates 4GB to dedicated GPU memory.

Universal X86 tuning Utility. The thing i hate the most about mini PCs is none of them allow ryzen master.
