MQ2Rogue

Plugin - MQ2Rogue (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Possibly in your stick settings for your mq2rogue_toon.ini. Most are set to I believe behind 10 or something like that. Might need to make that number smaller.

There's an INI MQ2Rogue_CharacterName.ini located in the release folder.

In the INI you should find
StickHow=snaproll behind 10 moveback uw

Which is the default sticking method in the event you do not have aggro.
Change the 10 to a smaller number to force the rogue to stand closer to the mob.

You must then save the INI, and /plugin mq2rogue unload
followed by /plugin mq2rogue

This will force it to load the new sticking method from the INI.

Change the number until you find a distance that works for you.

Added a message when you ding to say congratz, because you deserve it. Since I've noticed this level up happened, I go ahead and update your discs. This should prompt outputting any newly missing discs.

Setting the XTarget type for you now happens if you happen to have an XTarget set to the group main assist's target. This is done because when there is an XTarget type for group main assists target and your group gets aggro, the XTarget window doesn't populate an XTarget autohater type slot to let MQ2Rogue know that your group has aggro and this is what prevents you from engaging anything your MA targets. So the rogues were not engaging. I have had several direct calls related to this issue with various consumers of the berzerker/rogue product. So I've decided to automatically set that slot back to autohater to prevent this from continuing to happen in the future. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, because it's going to do this in manual mode as well.

I finally found the issue where your toon was locked in place trying to get to the mob. There was a conflict in the logic for MQ2Nav and MQ2MoveUtils that has been adjusted. MQ2Nav should now only go off if you don't have line of sight or UseStick is turned off. Otherwise stick is used.

addressed complaints for FTP players about abilities trying to fire using requirements for Rk. II and Rk. III tomes such as breather trying to fire when your endurance wasn't low enough. Corrections for that have been made.

You died, and got a rez and the rogue charged into combat like rambo to solo the mobs with rez effects and all? Yeah, I can see that being annoying. So I've decided that when you die you'll be turning off any active nav movement, and turning off attack. I personally haven't encountered this weird bug. So it's a shot in the dark on this one on if this is going to fix the issue. Since I'm unable to reproduce the issue I cannot confirm the fix is working. Please let me know if it is not so this can be looked into again.

Added a new toggle for all you raiders. /zerk RaidMode 1
While RaidMode is on, instead of using the Group MainAssist, it will use the Raid Main Assist. This allows you to use Assist, ChaseAssist, Vorpal modes, but instead of getting the MA it uses the RA.
RaidAssistNum option was added to the list of optional commands, this allows you to set which RA you want to help. IE: You're in a raid, you've been told to help RA 2, by default you'll help RA 1, so /rog RaidAssistNum 2, will change it to help RA 2 instead.
In the event RA you are designated to assist is not in the zone it should help RA 1.

For those that couldn't load the latest version, please download and install the latest Visual C++ redist at this link. Had a friend with similar problem, this is the only thing we tried for him and it worked out the gate following that installation.

https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

For those that need justification for this download. The following screenshot is direct from the visual C++ site.

It's possible you have the x64, or an outdated version. The above link for the x86 is the one needed and the one I've confirmed to work at this point.

I cannot get this to work. I downloaded the zip file (was only a folder with 1 file inside). Put that .dll file in the same folder as all the other plugins, created a new clean KISS file for the rogue, downloaded and installed the Visual C++ as seen above. Still get Plugin cannot be loaded error. Anyone have a clue? There are no specific setup instructions for this plugin.

Chat helped me. It was the wrong plugin name. /OY.

Supposed to be /plugin mq2rogue

Hey CWTN,
Question, I am playing on a TLP Server and am currently at level 75 with all toons, was wondering which of your plugins would work well at my level? I think I remember seeing a warning on the Zerker plugin that it was more for higher levels. I dont know a ton about some of these classes since I have never had one as my main back in the day. Because of my lack of class knowledge I know my .ini's are probably lousy and these could help my setups for those toons. Thanks for these plugins and all the help you give us non-coders. AnotherJohn

Well the massive DPS numbers are primarily for higher levels. This much is true. However, that's not to say that the berzerker or rogue plugins shouldn't be working to the best of the classes ability for their level. I don't personally know which one is better at any given level as I don't do the TLP servers and haven't parsed every single level. Can only say that at any given level both the rogue and berzerker plugin should be operating at the classes optimal DPS. I realize that this doesn't really clarify much if anything at all, but it's all the information I have.

So yes, it's true that MQ2BerZerker and MQ2Rogue don't do insanely high numbers at say level 75 like they do at level 110. But that's not to say that they don't parse optimally for their level compared to other classes.

CWTN,
That pretty much answered my question. I just wanted to know that they are set up to run at level 75. The fact that you have tried to make them optimal for that level means that they will certainly do better than they are doing now with my limited knowledge of the class and the lack of really good ini's (at level 75) I can find to study. Add to that my limited ability to write conditions (although I am getting better) and I think this would be worth trying on my rogue. Thanks, AnotherJohn

Is there a TLO available (if so could it be put on the main page or commands page)? I would like to get the mode I am in from within a macro (basically I want to switch modes based on an event for a particular named, but want to ensure I go back to my original mode I have set).

Any reason Stabby doesn't click his pants (I figured this out, added a summon clicky), then click his consigned bite of the shissar that is summoned (this still unsure on....seems it should be in buffs section - so should it be offensive?)? Am I missing a command that enables that?

There are currently no TLO's available.

I'm not sure I understand your question SylanosScorn. Put pants on cursor
Summon items require you pass it a number of items to summon. For pants it would be
Code:
/rog addclicky summon 5

then for the vial I use downtime
Code:
/rog addclicky defensive

So that he casts it if it's not up during downtimes (in between pulls)
If you also want him to use it during combat if it drops (you have a long fight)
Code:
/rog addclicky offensive

CWTN,
Is there any reason my normal follow hotkey:

/dgaexecute /campoff
/pause 03
/dgaexecute /mqp on
/pause 03
/dgexecute /afollow spawn ${Me.ID}

would conflict with the latest mq2rogue plugin and the latest MQ2 version? It seemed to work fine the little I used it before the last patch. Now it seems the rogue and only the rogue tries to run back to his last camp and when he gets there tries to run back to where the rest of the group is. Sort of ping pongs back and forth or gets stuck on something. The only way I can clear it is to kill the plugin, mac and nav. Any ideas on where I should start looking to solve the problem? Thanks, AnotherJohn

Rogue is running in mode 1 (assist). Guess I should also mention he is a Gold account Level 75 toon playing on a TLP server. I just figured it was going to be my follow set up that was the problem. Thanks, AnotherJohn

Edit: Looks like you were posting at the same time I was Jande, will give that a try. Thank you

More info: The follow problem only happens with the plugin loaded. If I unload mq2rogue and keep KA running the toon follows perfectly. It is only with the plugin loaded I have the problem. I ran "/alias list" and got a long list that included "/camphere /togglevariable returntocamp 1" and "/campoff /togglebvariable returntocamp 0". It only happens on the rogue when the plugin is loaded and not the other toons. Since it is only happening on my rogue (it seems) it must be something I have set wrong and is conflicting. At least that is my best guess. I just cannot think of what it might be. Thanks for any suggestions on where to look, AnotherJohn

So the last couple of updates, ive been playing sparingly but everytime i try to load this its been crashing.
This is my most recent error:
1571791695269.png
not running kiss, got it in manual mode 0, had no issues in a while
I had submitted the last log to eqmule but its still there so idk

Same i had that kind of bug. Ithink that came from the rank of spell, bought them on my 105 rogue while i was subbed, so able to use rk2 ones, but not that i am back to silver, it sees tha ti have rk2 spells but when trying to use it crashes

you'll have to send the dump to me for my plugins.

Not sure if the dump request was directed at me but if it was there is no dump report generated in my situation. Just seems the toon is having a problem with following and setting up in a new camp location. Seems to want to go back to last camp. If you need to know a particular setting in either the ini or plugin I can provide that. Thanks, AnotherJohn

I apologize for the delay in my response @AnotherJohn it sounds like you misunderstand how the plugin works with the different modes.

You are using a macro AND /rog mode assist

You can do that, though you're likely going to get some unexpected results from it due to this.

The "manual" mode is intended to let you do all steering of the character, or allow a macro to conduct all steering. It also allows you or a macro to determine if you want to engage with an NPC, as it doesn't automatically select your target, or engage. However, it will use any abilities available to it during combat, or downtime as needed.

The "assist" mode (the one you say you are using) /rog mode assist or /rog mode 1, does not need anything else to operate. It will create a camp at the location you are standing when you use the command to switch to assist mode. It will then assist the groups MA (The MA must be assigned via the right click context menu from the leader to assign the Main Assist role to the character you want to assist). It will do all combat and downtime things as needed and it will return to a camp location.

The "chase" mode is very much like the Kissassist /chase on mode where there is no camp set, and instead the camp is the MA. Whereever the MA is standing is your camp, and if you are not within a specified distance from the MA and not in combat, the rogue will attempt to follow the MA. If the MA enters combat, and the MA's target goes below the "AutoAssistAt" value, then the rogue will assist the MA in combat, once combat is concluded they will resume following the MA. Buffs are only attempted if the rogue is not in motion.

If you want to use a macro to follow the MA then you need to /rog mode 0, or /rog mode manual

If you want the plugin to handle the camp then you do /rog mode 1 or /rog mode assist

if you want the plugin to handle chasing then /rog mode 2 or /rog mode chase

If you have any issues, please let me know.

Thanks for the help CWTN, not sure where I found the info to set things up (I can't seem to relocate info) I thought I was supposed to create a default kiss ini. Since it had me create one I thought I had to use it. I have been starting the default Kissassist.rogue.ini then starting the plugin. I will try not starting the kiss macro and just starting the plugin next time I play. I am sure this will solve the problem.

Have you ever wondered why the step one in the directions on a can of soup are: "Open can and empty contents into a saucepan"? I am why..... AnotherJohn

LOL I had this exact same problem a few posts earlier! I thought I had to do that too ...

Not sure if this will be an easy find, but, when I run my rogue outside of group, I am also using the naked KISS as well so he assists etc. Things run well for a few hours, but at some point, he throws a generic crash msg, but instead of crashing he just pauses like he is stuck in ice. When I hit the retry button, he springs back to life and everything he missed fast forwards in the window and on the screen in supersonic speed until he 'catches up' to the rest of the crew. It happens pretty regularly (about every couple hours).

CWTN,
Hate to be such a pain in the ass but I have noticed something the last two updates for KissAssist and wanted to ask if it is something I have set wrong or just the way things need to be done. When I update KissAssist with the updater and have Mq2Rogue plugin checked in the updater, the Mq2Rogue.dll dissappears from my Release folder and I need to download Mq2Rogue from your post here and put the new .dll into the release folder manually. Again, this may just be the way I need to do thing for this plugin but wanted to see if I am missing something? Thanks, AnotherJohn

Hi AnotherJohn, that is indeed the nature of things atm. MQ2Rogue/BerZerker both get deleted any time you patch as a way to avoid errors/crashes after an update from my plugins being out-dated since they aren't shipping with the VV Compile.

Redguides has been working on a new updater, and it's currently in beta that will handle automatically downloading these plugins.

1572843319040.png

You can find it at https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/redguides-launcher-beta.1255/

It will allow you to select "Plugins" button and then hit install on the plugins you need new copies of.

After you've hit install on each plugin in turn that you want to add, it'll let you know when you last updated, and give you the option to update after that.

1572843764516.png

It will allow you to update Very Vanilla from this launcher as well. By selecting "Very Vanilla" and hitting the Update button in the top right under the server type drop down combo box.

1572843916567.png

This also lets you see what the latest version of macroquest2 is, and when you last updated so you know if you're up to date, as well as let you hit the tick box for the EQBC that you want to launch and launch MQ2 and EQBC at the same time.

Nice to know it wasn't something I was doing wrong for a change :)

This looks very helpful. I will check out the link and see if I can put it to use. Thanks for all your help getting me up and running on MQ2Rogue. I think I have worked out all my setup problems (no fault of the program itself, just me needing to learn stuff) and I am enjoying it. Thanks, AnotherJohn

Haven't spent much time with this but I will say...my dps doubled. Looking forward to seeing the numbers once I go gold and am geared up a bit.

The plugin is awesome, and the new version even more.
Do you plan to put the use of glyph too in the graphical in game plugin window?

2 Questions:

1. Where would I add the clicky for rogue poison? I tried under offensive and well I'm sure you can imagine what happened, the rogue was chain using her poisons one after another. Is there a way to have it use them only when the buff isn't present?

2. Is it possible for you to code in a universal mode change? /cwtn mode 0 or something? I'm using zerk rog and monk (and will likely use get the beast when available) and having a universal dongle for hotkeys would be nice. Then we could just use /bcg //ctwn mode 0 and all of them would flip the switch.

we added a TLO to mq2berzerker's list of TLOs to try and accomplish that where /echo ${Berzerker.Command} would return the classes plugin command. IE: BerZerker would return Zerk, Rogue would return rog, monk would return Monk etc.

The idea was to allow for it to /${Berzerker.Command} mode 0

Seems there's an issue with the way the information parses doing it that way.

So i believe after some testing we determined that the way to get it to work was to do
Code:
/bcaa //docommand /${Berzerker.Command} mode 0

Since MQ2BerZerker is currently the only one with a TLO made up, it's the one with the TLO for this.

Here is a list of the discs the plugin uses and the expansions they are from. Anything 100 or lower can be researched (I think) for rank 2, 101 and above will require EoK, RoS, or TBL runes. TBL and RoS Runes have an overlap, TBL will get you either RoS or TBL but RoS only awards RoS abilities. On my server TBL are more expensive (though for me they easier to obtain since I'm farming tbl missions) but if you're buying them, you may want to make sure to claim

I'm also trying to compile a list of the AA abilities it fires off as well but it's contestable whether finishing off those, vs other passive AAs is more bang for the buck.

If you're referencing the abilities the plugin uses, it changes depending on your level and the discs you have available to you.

I assume 110 with all abilities. It's just a list for people so they know which to bother upgrading so they dont have to sit there after each fight scrolling to jot down like I did lol.

I assume if someone is going to invest in your plugins they want the absolute best from the respective classes and thus will want to upgrade their discs to the best they can obtain.
