hi, just started using this. I just have 1 question..... when a spell gets resisted, he constantly casts it over and over again. how do you turn it off... to where he casts it once resisted never casts it again?

That isn't an option. What spell is being resisted and what resistance message do you get?

and its the basic resist message, "name" resisted "spell"
well, importantly "resisted" doesn't mean "immune" and we're also not going to skip arguably the most important spell that necros can cast.

as chat mentioned you'll want to byos/byoscustom if for some crazy reason, you don't want to use your #1 spell line

make sure you're using your debuffs
 
When people say Necro isn't good in a group I think they must not be using the plugin. Because my Necros are great in a group.

Not only are they combat rezzers the DoTs with good AA land huge damage. I Don't need every DoT to land every ounce of damage that means my fights are way too long.

Plus you get a Rogue Pet higher than a Mercenary and pet swarm.
Not to mention the other goodies everyone knows comes with a Necro

you can get a lot of value out of your necro by swapping mobs early as well.

i often have 1 or 2 necros in my non-main group, and when i'm driving, i'll wait till i see 2 or 3 dots on the mob and then swap to a new mob with a little practice mobs are just dropping around you

Necros in group are only as good as the rest of the collective group is bad. If it doesn't take very long to kill stuff without the necro then the necro has no time for DoTs to ramp up.
So "it's not good in group" is situational based on the time to kill per mob regarding their DPS.
 
Is the FAQ still accurate that Lifeburn is not used? (I looked through some raid parses and didn't find any uses, I just wanted to confirm)

Also, since Lifeburn's DoT now stacks with other Necros are you considering changing this, if indeed they aren't being used?

Yes and yes, been thinking about it a lot and testing it a lot. There are quite a few considerations for it it ATM, and I haven't made a couple of choices yet

Excellent to hear, having it cast "automagically" would be pretty great.

So quick situation I have ran into. I am trying to use MQ2Necro to Molo grind with pet tank. The plugin will pull and allow pet to tank, then it goes full ham and wont drop aggro. I don't think that directly is getting me killed but when its paired with blood magic its the combo that is getting it killed. Has anyone any experience with this? I am using Pullertank, there is no one else other then me and my merc. The spell that seems to be drawing the aggro is Mougris' Grip of Decay, there is a swift spell in there that once it finishes spikes the aggro. Thanks in advance!

well, i already answered you in PM :), we're not going to FD while tanking.

since you're moloing and you're attended at keys, just FD when you want to FD.

you can also byos/byos-custom and remove any spell you don't want to use.

I recommend boxing more toons with the boxing software :p
 
Ok, thanks agian Sic. I cant decide what to box. I want to be greedy and play what I enjoy with SK/Nec.. but feels like I might be limited by not having a slow.

sk/nec/shm - then bard, then bst, then rog/zerk/mag :)
 
And If i was only able to start with a dou? My nec is my main. SK/Nec or SHM/Nec?
sk - i was a necro main for a very long time, but changing to a #real tank was a huge game changer.

I really like driving on sk, because some of it plays similarly to necro, but tanky
 
Hello, I have had this issue for a awhile where the MQ2Necro will only start casting spells if I activate auto attack. When solo its actually freaking awesome, but when i am doing anything I want it to automatically handle its business its a real pain in the behind.

Make sure to be patched, there was a brand new issue a few days ago if you were ma or in a tank mode.

Other than that, make sure you adjust your campradius, your assist at, dotmanamin, nukemanamin values.

I have many necros, and they're all doin what they should
 
Hello, this is the sixth plugin that I've purchased a license for and I would like to ask a question about the MQ2Necro plugin. I'm currently leveling a necro while using this plugin in Mode 0 (manual) using the necro as the driver. I'm also using the BYOS, non-custom settings for my spell lineup. What I've noticed is that the plugin is not casting the venom/poison dot line, such as Venom of the Snake, Envenomed Bolt, etc that turns into the Stacking Group: Blood of Saryrn. It's unfortunate, as that dot line is one of the best dmg per ticket dots necros have. Am I doing something wrong or does this line get supported later in the leveling process?

Also, a small feature request would be helpful. When the plugin is in Mode 0 (manual), it would be great to increase the time between the global spell cool-down and the next plugin cast, so that the user can interrupt the flow and cast their selected spell. Say a 0.5 to 1-second baked-in delay.

A: are those spells listed in the output as spells we use? Be specific.
A "XYZ spell is reported in cool dotgroup but doesn't appear to be used" is different than "this spell that isn't listed should probably be".
- if you don't like the loadout you can byos (as you're doing), and we'll use anything the plugin says it uses, it isn't going to use something it doesn't say it uses

So you're saying you're not using "venom of the snake" and "envenomed bolt", you said "etc", any other info?

I'll take a look this afternoon when back to my PC, but off the top of my head I'd say yes, we do use them.

B: no, the point is automation, not "maybe do something if I don't manually do something first" that would make for a terrible automation experience.

thanks - just got home - looks like i had made myself a note that that stacking group had some weirdness from blood of thule and lower (including venom of the snake and poison bolt) i'll revisit that and see what's going on with that

which i think it is because that spell line is a duration cap of 7 (ticks) but some of the lower spells aren't 42s, they are 36, or even 24s, coincidentally, spelldata says duration_cap of 7 even for the ones that aren't

i think i just didn't come back to it, so thanks for the notice
 
Hi, I'm very new to CWTN plugins but I was struggling with something I feel like should be a very simple fix: how do I choose which spell the Necro pulls with in Pull-Assist mode? Right now the plugin runs up to a mob and attempts to melee it but I don't have a weapon with a ratio equipped (if it matters the necro is only like level 7 so do I need to wait for a particular level and certain spell to be scribed?). Also is there a way to ensure every single mob gets snared?

Thanks so much for the plugins they have been a game changer for me.

you don't choose what spell to pull with the plugin is set to use Scent of Thule (which is an AA you get much later on).

there are a lot of pros and cons to pulling with damage spells - and also pulling with snare, so it isn't configured to do that.

You should probably consider having your tank be the puller - and either pullertank or huntertank (with everyone else in chase mode)

re: snare - you can use your darkness line you get at lvl 4, as long as you have more mana than your dotmanamin and UseDotSnare turned on

Ah that makes sense. This is a new account meant to add a third to my crew who are about lvl 70, and I am getting the necro up so they can group together. So I'm using a merc tank. I can probably just run things in normal KissAssist mode with some pull spells set while I grind up to grouping level. Appreciate the response!

your tankmerc is gonna obliterate everything, you should consider just having your team run in huntertank (and other toons on chase) and let the tank merc go ham
