MQ2Melee 6.02 Updated 12/31/2012

/multiline commands are parsed all together at the same time. So cramming a bunch of discs together usual doesn't work. /delay doesn't work in multi lines you have to use the timed command so try

/multiline ; /disc Clamor of Claws ; /timed 20 /disc Barrage

I appreciate it. I still can't get it to fire. It skips the first argument after multiline. It just goes straight to the end, and fires the last line. Scrapping for now until I can test it for a while.

I'm having problems with certain functions of melee not working after i've been playing for a while...it's perhaps tied to switching characters. The main problem skills ive noticed are backstab and renounce rk. ii. any idea what might remedy it?

I'm having a problem with backstab not working either. I try /melee backstab=1 and nothing.

I am currently working on MQ2melee this week hopefully will be to fix some of the issues.

I can't get it to autofire Gouging Blade, or Defy rk. ii. I just handle them with holyshits for now.

My bad gouging blade is not in MQ2Melee. I have mine set up in kiss. I am going to add this week for a new release.

I've done a bit more testing and i've narrowed the backstab problem to switching characters. To recap, when my rogue first logs in and attacks, backstab and other melee skills fire properly; but after i camp that character and load another class (a tank, in my tests), and then switch back to the rogue, the rogues skills no longer fire...not backstab, not thiefs' eyes, not vigorous daggerthrow, etc. The only way to fix is to camp to desktop and restart eq (just going to character select isnt enough.) Any ideas on simple ways to fix/avoid this problem?

That must be what is happening on my monk as well. First time I log in from desktop, everything fires correctly. When I camp to char select and come back, some skills don't fire at all. Like flying kick was working fine, but dreamwalkers synergy and cloud of fists weren't going off. I wasn't sure why that was happening, but I will try camping to desktop and logging back in to see if that clears it up.

Try this make a hotkey

/plugin mq2melee unload
/pause 20
/plugin mq2melee

No, I tried this today and unloading/reloading melee has no effect on my class abilities when they stop working. Interestingly, the evade portion of melee still works, but then again hiding isnt a class skill. Any other suggestions?

That has been around forever. I read about that issue years ago on the mq2 forums. IIRC it's an eq thing that after the first toon loads into the world it does not update the class portion. So its still saying your on a ranger or whatever when your on a rogue.

I've just gotten into the habit of messing with my traders first then rebooting my pc after. SSD ftw. i'm not always the most effective but it works for me.

Bleh. Thats a major pain for me...i have 4-6 characters on each of my accounts, and i swap back and forth quite often. Im kinda surprised no one has found a fix yet.

Not sure if it's a problem with MQ2Melee or just the documentation but Rangers got some 'agro kicks' in the last expansion or two and I was wondering if that was gonna be added to the list of things to use.

I mean it should use enraging kicks when aggro=1 and jolting kicks the rest of the time. At least that would be the behavior that one would expect would make sense.

That shouldn't be to hard to do

Until they have time to add it, might try:

holyshit1=/if (${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Jolting Heel Kicks Rk. II]} && ${Me.PctEndurance}>=10 && ${Target.Distance}<=20) /disc Jolting Heel Kicks Rk. II

Works for me.

Happens even if I camp my rogue to char select and then enter world again on rogue. No backstab anymore :-(

on another note, It seems my zerker doesnt frenzy even though melee says frenzy=1 ?

And for some reason my zerker IS using Frenzy, along with any other ability that is in the abilities tab in the action window, and also using AA's, but not able to use discs.

Having a brain cramp this morning... what's the setting that stops a toon from circling around the mob if you accidentally snag agro? Tried a few I thought were the one and now am wondering if it's actually in Mq2moveutils.

So uh, one of my toons that can feign death, is... nice feature but I'm worried about drawing attention. feigndeath=0 didn't seem to stop it, any other ideas?

Thanks

Have you downloaded the latest compile and updated. I uploaded 3 compiles in 3 days.

Whoops, that was actually supposed to read "one of my toons that can't feign death, is"

I haven't downloaded anything besides the full vanilla package. I'll look for your updates now.

Thanks.

Melee can't give a toon an ability it doesn't have. If you have some random toon feigning death that can't then its probably something from the mobs you are fighting.

You can't its hard coded. If you have the AA Mq2melee will use it.

Sort of true but not. It will bash even if you cannot bash try a zerker once it will bash unless you turn it off.

Is it a zerker of a large race? aka Barb, Troll, or Ogre? They all get Slam as an innate ability, which shows in the combat log as Bash.

I think I posted this in the wrong section before, but I have run through on zerker, and it does not fire Cry carnage, or any of it's versions Rk. II or III, it still uses Cry Havoc, is there any chance this is being worked on =). Also, I believe a few of the other abilities are still firing the VoA and HoT versions as well, if i figure out for sure I will post them.

Backstab seems broken since the new update? Maybe I have something incorrect but MQ2Melee shows Backstab=1 so it should be firing.

Assassinate doesn't backstab either.

Nevermind.. turning it off, logging out, back in, turning it back on ended up fixing it.

Yep, i've mentioned it multiple times already (see a few posts higher than yours) and still waiting on fix. its the worst glitch for me.
