Release MQ2Grind 3.1.52471.11

Just got this bought / downloaded into my Plugin files into my MQ2Next folder, and i'm getting the following error when trying to load it. Any advice?

"Plugin MQ2Grind could not be loaded: LoadLibrary failed with error 0x0000007f"

Not sure if I have to wait the 4 hours for the launcher to get the right version or what?

Yes you need to wait for the NextGrind to be available. Do not copy VV Live -> Next -- they are different applications.

Ahh dang, haha just got done waiting the 6 hours for Restless assaults lockout to be finished. Should've just bought it earlier. xD Figured I could get it up and running instantly. Anyone know the times of the 4 hour rotations?

EDIT: Guessing there's also not a way to just download an initial copy to get up and running somewhere on the site? Thanks!

Just got this up and running and I gotta say it’s absolutely awesome!!! About 5 - 6 runs in so far and haven’t had a single issue.

I do have one small question (not too important, personal preference), but is there anyway to turn off the constant spam to my MQ window? I keep getting these…

[—>(group_server_toon) ] /if (!$\{Window[SpellBookWnd].Open} &&!&{Me.Standing}) /key press SIT_STAND

I get about 20 different combinations of that and it just floods my MQ window. I’m assuming whatever it’s doing is important, but haven’t been able to find a way to hide all of that. (If this is a necessary thing I’ll suck it up, just feel like Sics video didn’t get this much spam in it.

Other than that, absolutely love it!!!! And well worth the $$!!!!

You can type: /dnet localecho off

that will cease the spam you are facing.

Oubliette of Light run seems to stop at step 53 of 66 and just sit there permanently. Never tries to go further or exit the mission.
There are mobs far to the east of this position but, nothing in the immediate area.
All toons are full mana/endurance.
I have tried to /grind restart 54 and up to 66 and nothing happens.
I also tried to set safe mode to exit at step 53 but, the selector only goes up to 13.
It's easy enough to drop and restart grind but, I figured you'd want to take a look at it.

Thanks for the hard work on these runs. Much appreciated and well worth the price!

Just to follow up:
I was able to get the run to continue and complete by manually moving my team through the area where the mission proper takes place, thru the fake wall to the North just before Mayong's chamber and up onto the roof. Once there, I did a /grind resume and everything worked great.
Also, I noticed it skips from Step 51 to 53 without going to Step 52 which may be vital.

Oh sorry I thought I had updated the mesh repo with the fixed zone file. I'll do that, please use this mesh for now.

I've updated the repo - should be available about Midnight (about 3 hrs from now)

you using Next or legacy?

under next it should load. use pluginmanager much easier
way easier to load/unload stuff and to see what is currently loaded

i believe takes like 4 hours or so for the file to be available updates certain times of the day with next

Zipped right through to the end today without issue.

Thanks, hytiek!

Did you take out support for the FM Goblins instance? I just got mq2grind tonight and was trying to figure it out to run my toons through the instance. I read on the forum page that FM was included, but in the mq2grind .ini file I am not seeing FM as a supported zone. I am only seeing TNL, TOV, COV. I'm probably looking at something wrong, help!

This is a common issue when you are on the MQ2 Very Vanilla build. The latest enhancements and instances are only supported under the MQ (Next) build. Grind and the CWTN plugin suite only are updated for the MQ (Next) build. I would recommend that you update and in doing so, review this https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/mq-next-migration-functions-and-features-oh-my.79369/

I hope that this helps!

I just purchased a license last night and I need a kick in the ass for not jumping on board sooner. I must admit the $50 did make me shy away. I figured I can do the same thing manually. Oh hell no I can't haha. Thank you very much for your hard work. One question though, Can I run two groups in two seperate instances simultaneously?

I am. Having no conflicts as of yet. Purchased 2 days ago.

Absolutely you may. Get group 1 configured and running, then get group 2 up and running. If you run into a problem, PM me.

i see this message pop up after each move to new location while i am running /grind in the Goblins Instance. Is this a normal message?

I started using this with my lvl 95 group and doing some GMM atm.

Sadly Im sill dieing lots. Guess my tank isnt equiped good enough but no biggie.

What realy bothers me is the fact the plugin pauses after a group member died. Even after a rez and rebuffing I still have to manuay /grind resume.

I know this is a wanted feature and not a bug but could we maybe change this? <3

Hey there - yeah that was part of the "don't change game play too much" ... now that doesn't mean you can't use some tools to pick things back up such as MQ2React. You could check if the Grind is paused (${Grind.Paused}) you could also check if (${Group.AnyoneMission}) and if no one is missing and it's paused, have the tank `/grind resume` =)

I upgraded to MQNext to integrate better with Grind. Hytiek was super fast to respond and recommend that; super appreciated! Now, after a couple trial runs I have a few more questions. I have gone through the discussion and Sic's video but may have missed the answers. I am running PAL, BRD, CLR as my three main toons in the group. The other three are rotated out. When I entered FM, I got a notice that a Grind was available. That function is really nice. I proceeded to the quest giver for G&F with my group to start up. With all group members there I hit /grind start and saw the tank give commands to the other group members to start their macros. The tank seemed to start ok, started pulling. My group did NOT follow him, though. At that point, mass chaos broke out. I manually ran everyone to where the tank had pulled to, kept him from getting thumped, and noticed that none of the other toons were in active macros. I manually operated them until I could get the mobs down that tank had brought. Once they were down I hit /grind pause to evaluate the situation. My first thought was that maybe I needed to start the macros manually, which I then did. I typically use my BRD as the dedicated puller, but didn't want him doing that since Grind had the tank in that role. I changed his macro to turn off all pull actions, changed him from "puller" to "assist" in the macro, and set the tank as puller in the group menu. Once I started up the grind macro again, though, the bard started pulling. Then the tank was pulling. Then they both wanted to go pull at the same time. More chaos ensued.

So, here are my initial questions. Disclaimer, I am fairly new to MQ/KA/RG programs, so these may be absolutely ignorant questions!:

1. When /grind start is activated, what macros does it use? Does it look to the macros the toons usually run? I looked at the grind .ini and have no real clue what I'm looking at. I see the following for all class possibilities. I have just pasted the tank and BRD.

-----
[Tank]
PullDistance=100
Start=/multiline ; /mac kissassist tank ; /timed 20 /returntocamp off
LTDistPullCmd=/squelch /nav target log=off ; /timed 10 /attack on
GTDistPullCmd=/multiline ; /cast Protest for Honor; /face; /timed 20 /nav target log=off; /timed 25 /attack on
[Bard]
Start=/rgstart
Pause=/rg off
Resume=/rg on
End=/squelch /multiline ; /endmacro; /timed 10 /twist off
-----

Do I need to insert the macros for the individual characters here or leave them in my macro folder? If not, where do I either (a) put their macros or (b) adjust their settings?

2. What would cause the group to not follow the tank? If the adjustment needs to be in the individual toon macros, is this where the "chase" function comes in?

3. Any clue why I could not get the BRD to stop pulling? I adjusted every possible thing I could think of to stop him from pulling, but with no success.

One thought that crossed my mind: I have always used MQ2 but migrated to MQNext yesterday. After watching Sic's awesome video on the migrator tool I felt pretty confident in running it. However, I immediately noticed that when I CTRL-F'd a location my toons would not auto run as usual. All of that being said, could my issues be more related to MQNext migration and not Grind? At the very least, perhaps the issue of my group not following the tank might be related to that. I'm really just lost like a ball in deep weeds here, help!

@asplinteredcell there's a number of things that have me concerned in your post. I'll do my best to address each of them:

1) You mentioned that none of your toons ran with your Tank (Paladin) - this usually means that your other toons are not connected to Dannet. To fix run: /bcaa //plugin dannet load --- once loaded I highly recommend camping each toon to character select and bring them back in. This will take ~ 1minute. The other way of checking and fixing if there is a problem, takes more than 1 minute.
2) You mentioned that your BRD is pulling. That either means that your KA BRD is set to pull or you ran /grind waiver on the BRD and it's acting like the tank. Both of these scenarios are not what you should be doing. I'll address how you should be configuring these classes.
3) Each class must be configured in the UI (/grind ui) - Configuration -> Class configuration. For each class in your group - ensure it's configured correctly.
4) Regarding your Question #2: Lack of Dannet being loaded.
5) Regarding your Question #3: I have absolutely no idea why your bard is pulling unless it's configured to do so in the INI you ran for it.
6) The migration from MQ2 to MQ would not have done any of this wild configuration change. If anything, something would just outright break. The group movement using the Find window is different than before. To move yourself (ctrl + left click) to move your group (ctrl+shift+left click).

If this doesn't help you, please let's talk in Discord and get you fixed up.

Thanks, Hytiek. As always, you rock. I will run through all of those suggestions when I get home from work this evening and hit you up on discord if that doesn't help. And for the record, what I did see of EQGrind is awesome! I know the problems are on me... so if anyone is reading this thread trying to decide, go get EQGrind!

I have been using grind over the last day and i notice that my Sk doesn't med when out or low on mana. is there any way that can be mitigated?

Definitely, you could use MQ2React to watch the mana/end levels and tell Grind to pause (/grind pause).

I'll work towards some mana/end/hp markers like you're used to with CWTN Suite of plugins.

/grind start
Is only used on your tanks not on the other toons.
The tank will send orders to the other group members.

The chaos you had was because you started the grind on all chars and every toon thought „Im the boss“.

That makes sense! Thank you, I really appreciate the tip

Everything you said to try worked like a charm. Thanks Hy, I really appreciate you!

So I've been mostly running GMM with this, but when I've got the ability to be more active I switch over to Restless Assault. My DPS die every now and then because they're not well geared (that's a me problem, not a plugin problem). But in the course of doing so I noticed that a death in GMM will pause the plugin. A death in Restless Assault will not. Personally, I like the pause. Gives my shaman time to Rez and I'll give them a few minutes to recover and /resume but wanted to point out the different behaviors in each instance since I didn't notice a toggle for that. Something I'm missing on this one?

There's only 1 piece of code that handles the death of a group member. There is a window of time where it can slip past that I've heard about but haven't been able to replicate.

Thanks! I'll spend some time doing RA this weekend and see if I can get it to trigger. I wonder if the response time from the hardware resources has something to do with it due to RA being a bit more graphically intensive. Will see if I can find anything out.

I've done many many runs in both of those and I've only had a death slip past without pausing once that I know of. Incidentally, I seem to have had the PLee's die more in GMM. Switching from war to sk as primary driver seemed to help that too. They snap aggro so fast that if your lower lv toon runs into the mobs first they pick up aggro before the death happens. Usually. Hopefully.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing. I tweaked some of the nav distances and leash ranges and eliminated a lot of those issues with them running in first. I do use an SK as well. There's just one particular spot in RA where my tank runs past a pack of 3 to the next loc and due to how the nav distance is set the group stops right next to that pack. So every 4-5 runs those 3 will get lucky and steamroll someone. The SK and bard react quickly, but since they are mostly in EoK gear they sometimes will get ripped through. I have not had it trigger a pause once in RA yet, and never had it skip in GMM. But admittedly have not run RA anywhere near as much as GMM. So opportunity for observation is certainly there.
