Release MQ2Grind (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Sometimes just one character sometimes multiple get message box. Completely shuts down the plugin, these characters don't zone in cause they won't get the task. Then the ones that zoned in will sit inside the instance waiting for the others to zone in, which they won't.

Any idea on why this happens?

If I were to guess, looks like that toon doesn't have auto accept set up correctly. If they aren't accepting it and proceeding, I would look at the configuration of that toon in MQ2AutoAccept.ini - make sure it is like the others.

Now why does sometimes a toon miss the invite? I'm not sure. This started late 2020 and I wrote a brute force to "fix" it on the rare occasion of it happening.

Thanks for reply, looked at the autoaccept.ini and it was all disorderly, looked like all my toons had all my other toons. Some were missing some of the alts but all had my driver character. I cleaned it up, reloaded the plugin and will try grind sometime in next day or so. Doing Hunter stuff tonight. Thanks for the tip. Will reply if that does not fix it.

Sorry I don't check forums often, best route to me is via Discord or PM when you have a problem. Something that may (or may not) be of use:

EQBCS: /noparse /bcaa //bcaa //autoaccept add ${Me.Name} /bcaa //autoaccept save Dannet: /noparse /multiline ; /dg /dg /autoaccept add ${Me.Name} ; /timed 20 /dg /autoaccept save

I use these when I start up a new toon or change "builds". Just helps keep my toons in check.

What ini file and do I edit to prevent my SK from using arrows to pull in mq2grind and what line item do I need to change in the ini?

I moved your mq2grind question to the mq2grind thread

but you just need to update your sk section of your mq2grind ini setting

it should be something like /multiline ; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on

you can try a /grind resettank

How do you modify the ini file. I didn't see an expected ranged option with a 0 or 1 to toggle it.

INI aren't simply 0 or 1; MQ2Grind.ini has a bunch of options and configuration. There are some commands to help make it easier for you such as /grind resettank for the best experience, I highly recommend using MQNext and the Grind UI /grind show

If you need help configuring the plugin, please either reach out of to me via Discord (hytiek#2341) or shoot me a DM but provide some information like what classes you use and how you use them (cwtn plugin vs rgmercs vs kissassist, etc)

This is simply amazing - I love it!

I do have one silly question - When running this, and the off chance a toon dies - how to I get them to auto accept the rez?

I have little issue sometimes when /taskquit it drops all but sk in the middle of the wurm caves, not often but every once in a while. any ideas?

I use an early exit of 25 in Restless Assault, for me, it's the safest. There are 2 or 3 random rare spawns that happen, that could mess with an exit at 27 for instance.

Heya, ran Grind for the first time today. Did Restless Assault for the first time. Love this!!!

When I first zoned in, my tank took off running as I would expect...and died from fall damage. I ran him in a second time, and the same thing happened. I didn't have KA fired up on the bard yet so he wasn't lev'd. I assume lev is a requirement for this mission?

Also, in the .ini I copied and pasted in both lines from the two examples for a SHD tank, both the one for GTD and for LTD.. When I start the mission, the group runs to the mobs, but the SHD won't cast Protest for Power (it is memmed) so he just stands there. There are also a number of error messages saying it can't parse the multiline...

I am sure it is my error not filling out the line correctly. Any direction on how it should be changed from the Config Examples in the grind ini?

Of course, if I manually cast it, the group kills the mob and runs to the next loc, etc.

Thanks for the hard work on this!

I've been running this well over a year and have never seen any fall damage or death before a mob. I'm really curious how and where this is happening for you?

In regards to the fact that your SHD is not doing anything, immediately makes me think that the Tank section is not configured for the SHD. You can do this easily by running /grind resettank shd. The plugin ships with default value of using a bow and arrow as a warrior (since war is my main tank). Please take a few minutes and open the MQ2Grind.ini file and ensure that it's properly configured for the Tank and for each and every class that matches your grroup. The SHD Tank will use both the [Tank] section and the [Shadow Knight] section.

I would strongly suggest migrating over to MQNext, here are a few visual reasons:

One botton configuration of the [Tank] based on how you want to run the tank.

Configuration per Class:

That being shared, please let me know if you need help. I'm available on Discord or you can send me DM on the forums.

Thanks Hytiek. Going to jump on for a while now and will make some tweaks. Will move to MQ2Next....next.

Forget to answer your question. The fall death was happening after zoning in and running out the first target about 5 - 6 seconds...just over the first hill it nav's over.

Also, here are the two lines from the .ini that I am using:

LTDistPullCmd=/docommand ${If[${Target.Distance} > 50,/ranged,/multiline; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on]}
GTDistPullCmd=/multiline; /cast Protest for Power; /face; /timed 20 /nav target log=off; /timed 25 /attack on

you need to do a /grind resettank shd on your sk

your LTDistPullCMD should be something like /multiline ; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on

Hey there --

That INI looks extremely old and has typos in it.

May I suggest that you update those two, to:

LTDistPullCmd=/multiline ; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on
GTDistPullCmd=/multiline ; /cast Protest for Power; /face; /timed 20 /nav target log=off; /timed 25 /attack on

Also you might want to check your background FPS in EQ Display options; make sure it's not set to 0.

Could someone share their settings with me? I'm running 115 sk, 115 bard, 115 zerk, 115 zerk, 112 shm, and 115 bst. Have all cwtn plugins except bard running rgmercs. For the life of me I can't figure out how I keep getting killed in GMM. I'll sit there for 3 runs or so with no issues but it seems the first time I walk away from my PC the shaman gets killed along with one or two others and then of course the grind pauses. All I can think of is my settings must be off on cwtn for this to keep happening. Any suggestions? All my toons are decently geared as well with my tank in all velium threaded. All have up to date spells and abilities as well.

maybe eq knows you're going afk and smiting you!

Here are roughly my shaman settings that i posted at the start of the xpac, that i've done all missions and group content with, with your group setup (keep in mind, my shaman is/was 115 - but I have had my mq2shaman shaman do many xp flips as solo heal in RA using only lvl 85 and below spells).
I don't bother with single slow or malo, don't use growth because sk, don't use haste or regen, and no cannispell

I'm not sure if you're using this to PL the shammy - if not, I'd suggest trying to get it to 115 asap. if you get mid 113s you can complete the 4 tov missions for the huge achievement xp which roughly gets you 115.

Any utility for one of the newer options for 'Use Attentive Spirit'? Default is off. And thanks Sic for sharing your SHM settings, made all the difference for my group on some missions where I was using two healers. Now, SHM handles heals solo when I applied your settings. Awesome!

For the mq2grind you won’t need attentive spirit. But if you do events with an AE they are huge help to keep the group alive.

It looks like whats happening is the tank will sometimes not target things before running to them. It will run right up on a mob and stand there for a few seconds while the shm or other character gets killed. Sometimes if multiple mobs are on a weird area like a hill my tank won't recognize multiple mobs or maybe my aoe jolt isn't reaching them because of the hill? I don't know but its super irritating.

This sounds more like the default timing might be too slow for your group. In the MQ2Grind.ini under [General] replace or add "pulseSkip" and set it to 10: pulseSkip=10

See if that helps you.

Hytiek, this seems to have done it! It works much better now. Thank you!

One more issue I'm running into. I play in windowed mode obviously but for some reason, after 10 minutes or so, my game window gets deselected. It will still be visible on screen, but its almost like I have another window selected or something even though the game is still up. Any ideas why this would happen?

I've run in windowed mode with grind for 1.5 years (during dev etc) and never had that happen. I've never heard of that happening with the plugin. Not sure it relates. Does it happen any other time or only during the use of Grind? Are you using Next or VV?

Its not just with the plugin running. I've had it happen just after leaving my computer too long. Checked all my sleep settings for PC and even my mouse. Can't figure out why this is happening.

So far, this is running great. Is it possible to run this at the same time with 2 different groups from the same computer?

I can try it tomorrow. I don’t think the commands are /bcaa so you should be able to play toons outside of the grind group.

One other issue I am noticing is a toon getting sent to the wrong pick from the rest of the group between flips. I don’t afk with this much so not a big deal just wondering if there is a work around?

Anyone experience having tank run inside one of the tents and then having aoe taunt missed by one of the mobs outside the tent and having your healer or some other character killed outside the tent because they pull aggro from healing?

You can. The trick is if you run 2 different types of tanks. If you do, start up your first Grind sessions, then reconfigure, save the file, and reload on the 2nd tank; start it up on the second tank.

This is an EQ issue that I tried to brute force fix. Be patient, it should automatically fix itself in about 30 seconds after the main crew gets into the instance. Be sure that MQ2AutoAccept is configured and working properly.

GMM is a nightmare mesh, this is uncommon but happens. IMO get out of GMM asap.

Thanks Hytiek, will give it a go. I agree on GMM, geometry problems are frequent because of the tents. Unlike RA which is absolutely flawless so far.
