MQ2Ghost by cronic, with credit to Lestor for the /ghost return idea.
TLO and various updates and nerfs by randomguy_01

Updated 1/18/06
Now shows the date of the supported EQGame.exe in the help output.

Usage:
/ghost on - enables ghosting
/ghost off - disables ghosting
/ghost return - returns you to the spot at which you turned on ghosting

TLO:
${Ghosting.Status} - returns TRUE/FALSE
${Ghosting.Y} - Y coordinate of where you're ghosting.
${Ghosting.X} - X coordinate of where you're ghosting.
${Ghosting.Z} - Z coordinate of where you're ghosting.
${Ghosting.Version} - version of plugin

This plugin lets you move around a zone without aggro while remaining stationary server-side.

THIS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO GHOSTKILL

Enjoy.

i'd give another redcent but it says i must spread the reputation =(

If I understand the workings of this plugin correctly, then it's undetectable to GM's because to them you're just standing still at a fixed point.

Also spawns etc. might not actually be where you see them, if you've ghosted to the other end of the zone (due to slow updates the farther away you get).

I'm not sure if this will work, but would it be possible to enter "ghost" mode, then warp your ghosted self to a mob (ie. only client-side) with MQ2RWarp?

Reason I'm asking is that sometimes you can't warp directly to a mob (sees invis or whatever), warping your ghosted self there instead and then moving on to a safer spot, then unghosting would be ideal.

Yes, according to anyone (or the server) that 'sees' you, you are where you turned ghost on at.

tip: To see for yourself try doing /q while ghosting. When you load back into the world you'll be at the same spot.

Also correct. It's the same as if you were to click a NPC on MQ2Map when you're far away-- the NPC (label) will warp to where it's current location is on the map.

Sure can.

Seems that im to stupid - after 20 death - i give up.

Please list the plugins that are loaded (/plugin list) while you're trying to ghost.

OR

If you downloaded the plugin before 2:48 PM EST, re-download it and try again, cause I left out some stuff.

Download was 1 hour ago - dont know what EST it was - we in Austria

This plugin allows you to loot while ghosted. Basicly looting from accross the zone. Just a FYI heads up.

Yes it does, and I updated it to fix a small problem that messed with your heading while ghosting so everyone should re-download it.

This also allows you to trade with any npc, might be usefull for sabatoge again.

/zwarp 2000
/setgrav -1
/ghost on
/mac sabatoge

Interesting, I was testing this plugin today.. and It seems it tells me Im ghosting.. HOWEVER mobs still aggro me like im right there, Wierd?

I see this is a dll, but what folder do you put it in? do you need any other files? thanks

oh, and Incoming redcent randomguy; even though i can't seem to figure out how to properly use it :P

Cheers!

Thier any plugin that will conflict with this? I'm still getting aggro

For the people it doesn't work for: do you have MQ2PacketAPI loaded? If so, try unloading it. It uses the same detour so it could get messed up if both plugins are loaded.

Soo, with this running, do PCs see you at all? Or do they only see you where you typed ghost on? That being the case, when you zone with it running, does it leave your viewable body at the zone in?

PCs see you exactly where you turned ghost on at. If they didn't see you at all but you showed up on /who, I think that'd turn some heads.

If you zone while ghosting you'll remain at the zone-line after you zone stationary until you turn off ghost.

does this still work for superkilling? got the ghost itself to work but cant hit anything yet.

This (particular) plugin is meant for moving around (among other things) without aggro while remaining stationary server-side.

I don't want to read about soandso feature not working, or questions about "GhostKilling" a level 80 raid mob in East Bumblefuck anywhere in this thread. If it turns into this, I will be removing the thread.

If I understand this correctly, if you /ghost on, move to a different spot, and /ghost off, do you return to the spot you turned ghost on or do you actually move to the loc you /ghost off?

I wasn't using MQ2 when Cronic had his version out. I might test with it tonight though.

When you /ghost off you will be at your CURRENT location.

When you /ghost return you will be at where you STARTED ghosting, no longer ghosting.

How hard is it going to be for you to get ghost working with the new patch?

I love the plugin and would hate to go without it :)

Ghost allows you to run around no agro but does not allow to loot anymore. Is there something I did wrong by chance?

Thanks in Adv and for all your work too.. You Rock.

aww.. no loot anymore? that is what I used it for.. not dying getting my loot :(

I am new at this stuff so not sure. Will this plugin work wit the new MQ2 compile that works with todays EQ update? Please say it will. I love this plugin.

Thanks all
