Question - MQ2EQBCS a Windows service

I'm running EQBC as a service, but every now and then I used to look at the window to see what is going on. Is there a way to open the window when it is run as a service?

I don't think services work that way. The output before was just using the cmd prompt to show what is going on from basically, an external MQ2 window.

What it says there is no different than what your seeing in the ingame mq2 window.

Don't mean to hijack but what is the benefit for running EQBCS as a service? I see a lot of people asking about that

No longer required to start it every time you start your computer. Typically services are more responsive than an application(runs in the background).

If you want to actually see the window when it's running as a service. You should be able open services.msc and find what you named the service. Right click and do properties. Should be an option in there for allow interaction with session or some such. Look for the word interact and place a check box on it. Restart the service after clicking ok and you should see a box come up if it works. That would be the only way "if" it works. If it doesn't you might change the logon as section in the same window to be your Windows creds instead of system.

So, the best way I found so far is to use the EQBCI to view the text within the MQ chat window. Works perfect when running as a service.
