MQ2Cleric

Plugin - MQ2Cleric 3.1.52471.11

maybe if you can give us some context we can better help you - because i don't think it is a cleric setting issue.

what is your tank hp/ac?
how many mobs are you fighting?
are you using a shield?
are you letting mobs get behind you?
are you CCing?
- are the mobs even CC-able

Tank is SK (438k / 9.3k AC) buffed
Rest of the team is Cleric, Beastlord, Bard, Berzerker, Mage.
AA Count = 38-40k
Gear = Full CoV t3

Wipes occurred in ToV/CoV during a 3-4 trash pull. The wipes have been random though. Most of the time the team handles it without too much of an issue. Then once in a while, the tank's HP fluctuates too much and a wipe occurs. Thinking I could save the team from a wipe by tweaking the MQ2Cleric settings, but if that's not the case, then I'm not sure what else then.

Plugin/Macs running:
MQ2Eskay, MQ2Cleric, MQ2Zerker, KA on bard with Sic's CoV ini, and RGMercs on Bst and Mage.

Average DPS on trash is about 1.3m.

I would double-check you're not letting mobs just sit behind you - and possibly use a shield if you're getting trucked. some of the cov stuff hurts pretty hard

I'm using a sword/board setup, if that's what you're referring to with "shield".

On mob location, I'm pretty certain I'm facing them head on. Pulls to the camp and does a 180 on the "Puller/Tank" mode.

not sure if this has been discussed but is there a way to make the cleric use the 2.0 clicky in group?
howdy pompome - yup we automatically use the 2.0 you can see from the MQ2Cleric FAQ

Q. Do I need to add my 1.5/2.0 to addclicky?
A. Nope, the 1.5/2.0 are automagically used as part of the heal checks. No need to add it to anything. If you have your 1.0 and UseEpicRez turned on, you will use that as well.

@hellfyre and @victoriansense suggested that the option allow the spell to take place of the cure all spell - with just a "yes" or "no" is that something you think more or less meets your needs as far as "i want to turn on usesplash and have it memorize the spell"

Is it set to run like the shaman squall? Or just available for people to manual cast it?

no it is not setup like squall, it does use it, but it is setup to use it like a group heal. I'll circle back to it at some point

Cleric stops casting on the group, and gets stuck in the spell book while swapping out spells. Is this known and or being looked at ?
Same goes with the shaman, it has the same issue.

hello Criton,

if you take a peak at the FAQ for each of the resources you will see the answer there.

you likely have "min background fps" set or some other external background frames limiting happening

Q. I sometimes get stuck in my spell book?
A. This is often due to your background fps not being high enough. It is strongly advised to utilize at LEAST 30 fps for background, recommended 60+ background fps. The fps cycle for eq is where "work" is done. If your background fps is set to "min" you can and will have undesired results with all sorts of automation activities.
Alt-O -> Display -> Advanced - > Max Background FPS
You will also need to check if you are using any external background fps limiting software - like isboxer - and adjust that accordingly.

If you're not in manual mode and we can detect that there is some mishap with being stuck in your book - we will stand you up, beep at you, and output that there was an issue with your spellbook - but if you're in manual mode we only do the "normal" exiting of your spellbook after a spell is memorized, so if you have your background frames too low and eq "skips doing work" because of the low frames, that can get skipped and you'll just be hanging out in your spell book.

Love the plugins! Use em all (except zerkers as not available on Rizlona, yet). Does anyone have recommended settings for all of the Heals - I've never main'd a cleric, and not very good at it I think. We're in Luclin on Rizlona, so max L60 with some AAs. I'm not even sure which heals go to which setting (guessing Remedy is the quick heal and Divine Light is the HealHeal)...

yup most stuff at that lvl is adjsuted with heals/heals except remedy (even tho its listed as a heals/heals spell)

here's another response that explained it in a little more detail > HERE <

Redbot updated MQ2Cleric with a new update entry:

02/14/2021

- We will no longer do buffing (meaning memorizing spells, not AA buffs) if we still have corpses to rez.
- You will now also get forcably removed from your spell book in manaul mode.
-- If you want to do stuff in your spell book be in byos mode, or pause the plugin.
- Corrected a potential situation where we would memorize spells (buffs) before healing.
-- My (Sic's) aplogies for not asking questions to better understand from Zues and the 1 or 2 others that...

Ran this on another raid last night. Any way we can get a power splash mode like shaman have. Shaman are slamming squalls as soon as they are up.

Thanks Sic!

from Dec 14th!
- MemSplash option.
-- Memorizes splash line in gem 7.
-- Minor updates to Splash usage.
-- There will be a future re-write for splash spells. For now it functions how it functions.

yes, but sometime that is not right this moment

Is it possible to specify to use Group buffs rather than single target.

Also, is it possible to call out to some command when in down time? i.e. Not in battle. Or would that be just a macro running along side MQ2Cleric?

we only use single buffs if they are better than your group buffs

what do you mean "call out to some command"

"Hey google - what is call out some command"

I play from Florida with my buddy in Wisconsin. Group buffs would allow me to buff his toons as well as mine.

Call out as in:
/if $!{Me.InBattle} /echo "I'm resting"

yes I know Me.InBattle is not part of the TLO set, it's just pseudo. That would allow me to maybe check buffs etc.

Basically, I'm asking is there a way I can group with my RL friend and as group cleric do buffs for the group even if they live elsewhere?

In ModBot there's the DownShit commands that would work as I'm describing.

I'd be happy to contribute if that's something you're looking for. Either code wise (I'm a lead programmer for a fortune 20 corp) or something financial.

howdy - no currently there isn't a way for us to handle buff stuff from outside of local pc - tho I am working on some special stuff so keep your peepers peeled.

What you want to do is A) not mem the ST buff until you can also mem the group version and B) click off your own buffs, as this will trigger the plugin to rebuff yourself with the group buff that will also hit the non-local characters in group.

For one-off commands, you should use mq2react.

Having issues with MQ2 Cleric and buffing on my new 86 heroic cleric. I had zero issues on Rizlona with a TLP cleric and he will heal and buff himself with armor of the Devout but he wont buff the rest of the group. I have CWTNBuffs plugin turned on and have tried turning it off and on. Really lost on how I get him to start actually buffing the group and would love some help.

everything works the same.

he will buff local characters (characters on your pc that mq2cwtnbuffs can see).

he isn't going to break invis to heal or buff unless you have a camp set

he isn't going to buff if he's paused or unloaded

Any suggested troubleshooting? He's buffing no one except he will cast armor of the devout on himself, MQ2Eskay and MQ2Enchanter are working great but can't figure out what is up with the buffing - he will still heal I'm parked in my guildhall, plugin is loaded/not paused and have tried cycling all buffs on and off, have BYOS off as well. I'm not sure if there is a setting I need to ensure is off based on him only being level 86 or?

not really. the things i mentioned before is basically it.

I just created a brand new heroic cleric and tossed him in a group with a bard. instantly buffed with group aegolism (hand of gallantry) (tho i was low on mana so had to wait a minute).

clicked it off and insta re-cast again.

turned on usevie and instantly casted group vie (rallied palladium of vie). because of how we do buffing and gems it buffed, put the gem back to what it is supposed to be, and then memorized it as a regular spell in slot 9, since slot 9 is normally for the Syllable line

if I turn on usehand we will then cast that - but that has diminishing returns over 85, which is why its defaulted to off

@Sic Thanks for posting all this. I ended up having to blow away every file associated with that toon and deleted/reinstalled MQ2. It was very strange.

same issue here. odd thing is I run 2 clerics, one is working fine the other wont buff

I would double check you are not byos.

there's nothing "magical" preventing stuff from doing what it is supposed to.

if you are not byos, and you are not invis (unless you have a camp set) and you have characters that are local that are running cwtnbuffs and we can see their file (meaning running same mq2 directory etc) - and they need the buffs - we buff them.

outside of those settings there's nothing that should prevent them from doing those things.

if your toon is memorizing spells - its also checking for buffs.

Full system reboot fixed it, it wasn't BYOS I did check that. Dont think it was a plugin issue more a PC issue, like i said the other was working 100%.

Morning all!

I saw a while back in 2020 there was a fix for clerics not casting aego or group aego - for some reason im running into the same thing. Any chance that it broke again? or is there a setting im missing that will fix it?

Any suggestion is appreciated!

Thanks!

nope, working as expected here

do you have use symbol turned on (you shouldn't)? cwtnbuffs loaded all that jazz?

Mr Sic, is there any scope to have Elixir (heal over time) as one of the grp heals? With all these TOV dots it would assist when moving around.....

I've also got the issue with the cleric stopping doing buffs. Wont bring up Auras, or cast Righteous. I've unload plugin, and CWTNBuffs and nothing has fixed the issue.
Enc, Shaman buffing fine.

I think it might be related to the last patch where cleric will not buff if there is a corpse nearby. Could it be getting a false positive about a corpse - and getting stuck somehow? I used expedient just to check if i had a corpse - and i dont.
It does keep healing and rezzing other toons, so Its not a huge drama - To workaround - I switch to BYOS and throw up some buffs

all of them use the same functionality for not buffing while there are corpses. You could test this buy turning off userez --- if it starts buffing and memorizing gems, then mq2 eq/mq2 must think you have a corpse near by

if turning that off fixes it - then mq2/eq is telling the plugin you have a corpse

EQ/MQ2 has also been having that issue where it thinks you have mobs on xtarget when you don't

you can quick check this with /echo ${Me.XTarget} if mq2 is reporting you have a mob on xtarget, we're not going to buff - you can try reloading your UI if that is the case.

Got another TLP related question this time on MQ2Cleric.

Trying to get my cleric to nuke, technically to keep a nuke memmed. Have UseMelee on and when I have a nuke memmed it will nuke. However next chance it gets it will swap out whatever gem I pick back to what it wants (expected behavior of course). I've noticed it seems to keep Yaulp in gem 6 even though I have UseYaulp off. I've even tried having practically everything disabled other than whats needed for nuking, same thing.

I am guessing a bunch of the heals are having a higher priority to keep memmed than a nuke, leaving gem 6 as the only one that has something that isn't needed.

I know TLP use is a bit of a side case for these plugins, but what should the expected behavior be with keeping a nuke memmed? Should it still be trying to keep a Yaulp slotted even with the option off?

Its a side effect that some gems at lower levels are not filled.

Yes it memorizes yaulp even if useyaulp is off.

if you want to "bring your own spells" then turn on byos - that is what it exists for. it won't memorize anything or swap around your spells in byos.

keep in mind until the cleric nuke revamp you will only nuke while you're meleeing so you need usemelee on like you mentioned.

the BYOS thing is in the FAQ

Q. I don't like the spell lineup.
A. You can "Bring your own spells" with /clr byos on

Q. What is BYOS.
A. BYOS allows you to bring your own spell lineup. This setting also assumes you want to handle your own buffs, since we don't memorize or mess around with your spell gems in any capacity. The only non-AA buff we will cast even if you have it memorized in BYOS is the lower lvl HPSTBuff.

Yeah sorry I should have mentioned that I knew BYOS would work as well. Was just wondering if there was something else since BYOS brings in a lot of manual stuff (buffing etc).

Ill just make a note that its one of those things to work around due to TLP/Low Level. Which is understandable because the plugin has Live in mind.

Out of curiosity on the nuke revamp, is that also going to include knowing to undead nuke vs regular somehow?

no - byos as it says in the faq that i showed - byos is bring your own spells and do your own buffs

its not that "the plugin has live in mind" its that cleric came out before we had non-melee assisting. so no it is not whatever you think.

yes the nuke revamp will revamp nuke stuff.

the cwtn plugins also don't afford granular level of specificity - so if you're looking for something you can customize/edit - this isn't the tool for that job
