Question - mq2chatwnd not displaying (1 Viewer)

I run mq from a share accessed by 6 separate computers. 3 of the pc's the mqchat window displays and 3 of the pc's it doesn't. the plugin mq2chatwnd is set to load and is running. Anyone know how to get the mq chat window to display if it has gone missing ?

not sure if it's right, but I've right clicked MQ2's icon and clicked "refresh injections" or something like that and it re-opened the window... there may be better solutions.

Try reloading the plugin

/plugin mq2chatwnd unload
/plugin mq2chatwnd load

k tried both suggestions and the window didn't show up in game, logging out / closing/opening MQ again to see if that's required.

if it helps, I do see the mq window @ character select but nothing in game.

It might be mq2chat not mq2chatwnd, the plugin list page lists that one as the one that creates the separate window.

Can you check your MacroQuest.ini and make sure you have mq2chatwnd=mq2chatwnd under plugins?

If you do, check MQ2ChatWnd.ini and make sure the window coordinates are in a viewable area. If you're not sure if the coordinates are in a vieweable area, then just delete MQ2ChatWnd.ini and have it be generated again.

ok thanks redbot, I will try that out. looks like they just patched or something.. getting incorrect client version all the sudden.

Thanks guys, removing the ini fixed it for me. I had to spend some time getting eqgame reverted back since the ninja patch so sorry for the delayed response. Appreciate the help!
