MQ2Bot

Hmm, it's my nec and bst that are doing it. The nec will try to heal the bst pet and vice versa... And when I have my chanter charm something, they go nuts trying to heal the charmed pet (because it's always low HP). I ended up just turning pet heals off, but I liked the functionality of personal pet heals.
Ok, try this for pet heal fix then. I have it look by spell type rather than by class.

Sorry it took me so long to get back -- that compile does indeed solve the pet heal problem, but I'm still getting the disappearing mana bar problem and a new one.... everyone is hailing their target. It's kind of funny, but totally a dead giveaway lol.

Relogging seems to have fixed the hail thing... I'm not 100% sure it was mq2bot. I'll see if I can get it again. The mana bar thing happens as soon as I type '/bot on' for every character except my wizard, so that seems to be an mq2bot thing. The mana still shows up on my character page (default UI), so it's not a huge problem, just a bit annoying.

There are no /keypress or /hails in bot, so it would never close windows/hail/say anything.

Yeah, I'm confused by that. I think there's some plugin compatibility thing. I have to restart my client every hour or so if I have bot running the whole time because something weird happens (behavior reverts to always sit, everyone hails all the time, spam mq2cast can't cast messages, spam can't target messages, etc etc). I need to just pare down my large (too many) number of plugins that I load to find which one is incompatible.

Anyone else having a concern getting the plugin to load with this last compile update? I have tried everything I can think of to get it to load. Did a fresh folder and download of everything but still can not get it to load.

Thanks

Thanks Dannuic.... I've been working on setting up Kiss since I couldn't get bot to load.

I don't think he's uploaded a .dll for this compile yet.
On that note: a couple things have aligned at the same time.
1. I compile this via mmobugs and they changed how they do their compile as of this patch. It requires me to learn an entirely new system. I will eventually learn it but it isn't my priority atm.
2. In the short term: I have some work related tests, exercises, and a job change that I have to focus on for the next month. At any rate, I am incapable of compiling via my normal means at the moment. It is built into the solution there so i don't have to actively maintain it for the updates to occur.
3. In the long term: My motivation to maintain 2 versions is exceedingly low. I have only continued to this point thanks to generous contributions from redbot and a handful of people here and there.
4. I haven't actually played any eq since 2014. I play Dota 2 and Star Citizen, so when i do have free time, i focus more on that than coding new features into this.

This leads me to the bottom line that I am at least temporarily suspending posting a different version of the plugin here until my time clears up. I will post updates if/when that happens. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your work pete :) One thing though this is why doing bots like this in a plugin was always a bad idea. A macro anyone can take over and update when you move on. As for a plugin once it stops working no one can update it but you since no one has the source to do so.

It does work great though. I think you did a hell of a job and if the EQ team had you to write the merc code this game would be so much better.

I always use this plugin along with kissassist, not looking forward to fully relying on kiss

Thank you Pete, everyone loved having this plugin here. If you ever get back into the swing of things shoot me a PM!

Pete, if you can open the source to the community (or fork a copy), I would be willing to help maintain it... If not, I could merge MQ2Heals and MQ2AFNuke, and add some features if anyone wants to help. I know they are far off from MQ2Bot's features and flexibility, but in time they could grow. Also, thanks for your contributions to my project as well.

I doubt he opens the source since this is still part of the Thoseguys compile.

Bummer, i used this plugin before 2016 mega patches, it's just an auto-pilot plugin. Sad to see it on hold, is there anything like it for a Mage and Cleric besides KA?

Some say they work well together. I haven't really tried though. There are still some bugs too. Check out the threads and give them a try.

So far i found (according to my December tests) MQ2Bot to be the fastest ever, im using KA right now only in TBM progression and its getting me there without problems. It's just when you encounter some nameds and some critical situations (especially healing!) where MQ2Bot shines.

I want to cry. MQ2Bot raised my zerkers DPS substantially compared to using KA alone. Dont know if Pete can sell the source to REDBOT or whatever in order to update it, but I would donate for it....

Just saw this bit about Pete not maintaining two versions anymore (I get it).

When people did use this, though, did anyone try using KA or another macro to automate targeting and movement while letting MQ2Bot handle the AA/DPS?

So the way mq2bot is set up is that it kills Bot.Adds[0] (aka your xtarget1). If you set that up as say your group assist's target.. and are running KA or any other macro on your group assist, then yes, it would work just fine. But if you are running bot and KA on your group assist that is doing the targeting for everyone, it would probably have some conflict. about the only thing mq2bot doesnt do is buffing others and pulling.

I had been waiting for the new mq2nav to be finished to finish pulling. you can technically already use it if your version of mq2navigation has Navigation.PathLength and you type /findmob. brainiac finally released the beta so i could probably actually add pulling in. and it is my own laziness for not doing buffs. i was waiting for xeniaz to redo eqbc but he seemed to stop working on it after redoing eqbc server. this was because i want to pass the info via eqbc/server so that you can all have a common operating picture for what buffs/debuffs all adds/group members/pets/anything you target has and it would pass this info to all the other players as they target something and see a difference.

Doesn't netbots pass all the buffs through EQBC? I started to take on that problem with MQ2Heals, and it's messy. The only way to get someone outside your box crew's buffs (that I've found) is to actually target them. Now, that might be fine for between pulls, and track fade messages from there, but when they join/leave the group, enter/leave the zone, etc... You'd have to re-enumerate their buffs. Or just forget about outsiders and worry about your box crew. :)

netbots passes buffs for friendlies in eqbc. it doesn't pass debuffs on mobs. I have some draft code in there to process both but I never put it live. also youd only want to pass info as there are known updates to cut down on packet flow. an old problem with netbots and eqbc was it would time out due to too much data and expected returns. its probably not as hard as I am making it out to be, I just don't want to log in to test it and such a major addition would almost certainly introduce crashes that would be a pain for someone to debug via message board. damn you, laziness!

Pete is this running still? I love using it when lvl a new crew. So easy to use an makes it simple when starting out a new lvl 1 crew.
