Problem - MQ2AutoLogin going to wrong(last) server

I set up MQ2 on a new computer (Dell XPS13 W10) and MQ2AutoLogin is ignoring the server specified for the character and choosing last server used for a different account/character.

So I have to go back to server select manually and choose the right server. Really annoying when playing on multiple servers

On other computers MQ2AutoLogin is working as intended and picking the correct server.

What was the setting that specifies this log in behavior?

Make sure you spelled the server name right when you were setting up your config and that you used the short name of the server.

I have this problem sometimes too, but I play on emulator servers and I'm not sure it is setup to understand that. A previous version of autologin seemed to always work I think, but I didn't try it that much. I now have the new version of autologin and it auto logs me in about 20% of the time. Mostly it remembers the server name, but I still have to manually log into it. Sometimes it gets the name wrong. With eq emu you have to do the server name but also all the brackets exactly as they appear in the server list. So for example:

bobsserver=[[R] ] bobsserver

On Live I never had a problem, but I haven't played live since last year.
