Question - mq2 work on p99?

I only got back to normal eq a couple months ago and while i like it i have a couple friends on p99.

wondering if mq2 i have from here works on p99

Not if you run it on a different PC as it only sniffs network packets. If they are watching your network too in some way they would be under serious fire, and a lawsuit should be filed.

We used to run SEQ through our linux machine :-)

to clarify: you don't want to use myseq on p99, only showeq on a separate machine/raspberry pi device

it is possible to run showeq within a virtual environment on the same machine you are running p99 eq on, however, they will see that you are running a virtual machine even though they may not know what you are doing within that virtual machine they can pop over and watch you in game to see if you are doing anything funny. Try not to run directly to a named mob you know is up, try not to jump off the 'race line' the instant a named mob pops up on showeq. don't talk about it in game. i even have the executable renamed on the linux virtual machine as I am not completely convinced they don't monitor keystrokes. they are very tightlipped about their cheat detection, though, they seem supremely arrogant about the fact that they have it and they have kind of given up on manual testing for cheaters

How will they see a VM instance if they have no control on EQ Client? i thought only DB could do that on LIVE EQ. AFIC P99 uses vanilla EQ Titanium.

they have a .dll that loads that allows them to see certain things about your computer, possibly what browser tabs you have open, what running processes there are etc. It is in the .zip that you have to download and put in the eq directory from their site.

I had an.... incident several years ago where Rogean called me out by name on Sirken's broadcast because of the fact their .dll can access basically every identifiable piece of information on your computer.

I have wondered its legality ever since, but I am sure that somewhere in the game's ToS you permit p99 to do that. In other words if you run anything alongside p99 they can see what it is, so don't even try to run MQ2 or they will conclusively catch you.

Using EQTrainer you're not flagged.

For some reason when incorporating MQ2 in to my dll (you have to turn it on in settings) you're flagged pretty damn quick. Usually banned within 24 hours.

Something tells me they're specifically looking for the name "MQ2" or something similar.

I don't think there is working version of showeq for p99 atm would be great if there was, would donate well for it
