Problem - MQ2 or eqgame is out of date

So first off I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I just started using MQ2 yesterday.
I can open MQ2 just fine, but when I open Everquest I get an error saying "Either MQ2 or eqgame is out of date", gives me some dates, says i need to patch one of them, and it can't load MQ2
I checked for EQ patches and everything seems to be up to date, but Red Guides launcher in the very vanilla tab it says "Patch Day - Unavailable".
So is there a problem or is it as simple as I just need to wait for the next MQ2 patch?

Patch day, usually up around 8pm est, but it can vary depending on what eq changed etc.

You need to wait for the next MQ2 patch, this happens every patch day.

need to wait for MQ patch. which is normally done around this time of day (give or take an hour or two).
