Question - MQ2 Injection cannot be completed

I've finally managed to get some time to play after a couple months of the RealWorld interfering. I'm trying to update MQ2 using the 'Very_Vanilla_Compile20161129.zip' file. Everything extracts correctly but the executable is showing a date of 14 Nov 2016. This leads to an 'injection cannot be completed' error.

After this I decided to blow away my MQ2 folder and reinstall using the new installer. It installed fine and update.exe ran correctly. When I start MQ2 I am getting the same 14 Nov 2016 date and injection error.

I'm only running the default plugins for KA plus MQ2autoforage. Any ideas what I'm missing here that could be causing this?

If you click on the Mq2 symbol on your taskbar, what date does it display? I believe November 14th is the correct compile. Have you run Everquest's Patcher?

I've tried the patcher as well as the old 'tried and true' method. I get the same date on both methods: 14 Nov 2016 (Live). As soon as I start EQ I get the injection error. I've also tried refreshing the injections with no luck while EQ is running.

I got it sorted. I must have had a corrupt eqgame.exe. Blowing away the EQ folder and reinstalling seemed to take care of it. Serves me right for not playing for four months.

I occasional see this when loading up my group... using the 'refresh injection' from the MQ2 task icon normally takes care of the problem.

1. Download the newest installer from the front page.
2. install it.
3. run the updater once its installed.
4. ???
5. Profit.
