Question - MQ2/EQBCS2 locking up all toons

Anyone having this issue or experience this before?

After maybe 15 minutes or so of playing my 5 toons everything locks up. At first I thought it was hardware related, like maybe GPU or CPU overheatin and causing this but I just logged off EQ from a 4+ hour group with 2 toons running and NOT running MQ2 or EQBCS2 and game play was fine so now I am inclined to think my problem may somehow be with MQ2.

I having been multi boxing with MQ2 for months with great success, no issues and this only popped up for me last weekend.

Any thoughts?

I had this EXACT issue with EQBCS2 and everyone said I was crazy. Try using the other one in the same directory. eqbcs-eqmule.exe works perfect in my case. Never could figure out why EQBCS2 lagged out to being unusable on just the one PC in my house. Things would start responding slow through EQBCS2 then eventually nothing responded at all.

Does it fix if you switch to one of the other EQBC versions? Like wired420 mentions?

I'm not sure on the technical differences, but here is a summary from awhile back: Redbot's full answer here.

Summary:

• EQBCS - Standard version
• EQBCS2 - Has some fixes if you're having issues with mq2Netbots plugin.
• EQBCS-eqmule - eqmule's personal version

I haven't tried the other versions yet but about 4 hours ago I left all 5 toons up in the character selection screen just spinning around. I've done this with at least 2 toons when I just 2 boxed before using RedGuides apps for years and would leave them up all week without playing EQ during the week and then log in on the weekends without issue...unless DB was running a patch on Wednesdays or something I wouldn't get booted from server. Anyways, I just got back from doing errands and noticed 2 of the 5 accounts "locked" up or from task manager they have the "not responding" status. Other 3 are spinning around just fine and I am not even running EQBCS2 or MQ2.

Now I really have no idea why all of a sudden this is happening. I swear I never had this issue until Sunday afternoon/evening.

Same here, started using the eqbc mule one and no issues since.

Thanks for the replies, I'll have to keep all that was said in mind. Right now I believe it's something totally on my end until I can prove otherwise. I just left my 5 toons spinning in the character selection screen without turning on EQBCS 2 and I'll see if they lock up again and try and note if it's always the same toons or if it's random accounts and if it is all of the accounts or just specific ones....

Kinda need to go through some trial and error here to trouble shoot my problem.

what would have to be done to switch to eqbcs2?
can i use all the same commands and hotkeys i have?
eqbcs seems to be dropping and locking up a lot lately.
