Problem - MQ unloading on zoning (and other issues)

OK.. Here's what I got..

Whenever I log into Red Launcher, MQ2 latest version is in red. Every time. Even after I "patch" it and reload the program.. nope.. demands to be updated again.
Despite everything setup on my main profile, auto login doesnt work. It will load the 3 clients, and then just stop responding on the server select. Manually selecting the server sees the program resume normal function... until...

Once in the game.. the whole thing just vanishes like a fart in the wind. Nothing is loaded. Forcing me to select the "Refresh Injections." Which almost 99.99% of the time results in at least 1 of the clients crashing. Which (after reloading and refreshing again...) solves the issue.. until...
ANY zone will immediately wipe the program from being loaded. Camp screen, Changing Zones, etc etc. Immediately requires me to AGAIN "Refresh Injections" .. which AGAIN will almost always cause at least 1 client to crash...

Ive tried multiple reinstalls, reformats, etc. Nothing is fixing the issues. Even the scripts are running half assed or really patchy.. like its not loaded correctly. My CLR will heal himself, but wont heal the tank or the mage, despite being grouped. Never had these issues before.. now I come back after a while and this is what Im dealing with.

That doesn't sound normal, many of us are running normally. If you are not running on a Truebox server then it sounds like you have something unusual going on. Check the usual exclusions from anti-virus, don't use a network drive or other method of syncing files, etc.

I forgot to add, also, whenever I attempt to cast a spell with ANY of my casters.... it also tries to GATE the caster out.. which immediately results in a constant spam of "ABILITY FAILED. TIMER HAS BEEN RESET" across every caster.
oh crap.. Im on Yelinak.. its "relaxed" (I run 3 accounts as per server rules.) Truebox.. could that be the issue?
*edit* No that cant be it, that wouldnt cause the repeated RedPatcher Update errors ... this is frustrating.

yelinak is still not supported at this time by macroquest.

you are, in fact, running into that refresh issue because you're using MQ on an unsupported server, which is why you are having several (nearly all) of those problems - login, refresh injections, etc.

re: launcher - you're likely file scanning your eq/mq/RG folders with antivirus or defender - or doing something like file syncing (one drive etc). You should consider whitelisting those folders and subdirectories so you don't get file locking issues while updating. In the mean time, you should restart, update, then play (on a supported server).

re: macro not performing how you'd like, you should post in the correct location for that automation - but keep in mind, if you're using MQ on an unsupported server - you're likely to not get support since... unsupported.

don't be shy using the search functionality of redguides - each point you made above is answered.

I edited your post title from "OK is this the new normal or is something wrong here" - as it isn't a very good thread title. I also moved your post to the progression section - if you see several of the surrounding threads, there are other questions about the same thing.

due to the familiarity of "refresh injections" i would imagine that you *know* that is some kind of work around (which, btw, whoever told you to do that on truebox has flagrant disregard for your character/accounts)

MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards.

Other tools such as MySEQ and IonBC are available for truebox servers.

I dont have OneDrive even installed on my comp, (Or anything remotely similar to it for that matter.) I do not have any antivirus installed, and I have windows defender disabled. Which STILL leaves me with the launcher issues.

As for the rest, no big deal. I'll deal with it. ty

without going into it being truebox or not, if its not updating, you are probably installing mq into a locked area on your harddrive, i suggest setting the mq folder to omething like C:\MQ\ that spot is not locked for usage.

if your autologin stalls at server select is because the server name you put in is not recognized, and thus being an unsupported truebox, that would be the issue.

some macros astill try and do spell gem stuck stuff, turn that off for your automation and that should not cause you issues.

As I learned yesterday, and we dance around it some, MQ did work for me on several Truebox servers that I tested. I assumed "not supported" meant it wouldn't work at all or crash EQ immediately (like ISBoxer on Truebox). Hell, I played several days quite happily and ignorantly on Yelinak. It was fine.

Even though TrueBox was relaxed on Yelinak months ago, MQ still doesn't "support" it (even though it works to some degree as you found out).

Will MQ ever FULLY support relaxed truebox? Dunno. Should it? Yea.... they just haven't done it yet.

Hope that helps.

Now playing with IonBC on Oakwynd. It's pretty sweet.....

Also, if you are using Windows 7 or lower, that can cause problems too. Thought i'd mention it because you didn't give any indication of what OS you are running.

I swear there was a pop up if you tried to use VV on a TLP, but I did it yesterday and it let me through perfectly fine on Yelinak. I remember there being a warning about it not working on an unsupported server.

Even upon zoning it didn't unload? They may have white listed it finally. Yelinak is no longer truebox right?
