When my toon is on a mount and set to pull mobs back to camp, he slows down gradually instead of stopping quickly like he does when not mounted. It feels awkward and causes delays. Is there any way to fix or improve this stopping behavior while mounted?

That's how dbg did mounts.

Like Sic said, its the design. Extra info, if you have a Paladin or SK mount, those stop, not 'slow down and stop'. On a Pal I use to use mount to do pulls for very fast mobs and as I got to camp, I would click mount off because I did not like combat from the mount. The speed change was always funny.

Nope sorry Mounts don't come to a screeching halt. You could make a mount hot button so you're mounted in between pulls. Then dismount to pull.

@afortner87 sure they do...hit the power button on your pc and that'll stop everything it for sure...or try /q which is shot for quick stop

@RobRenfro its been a minute since I’ve played my monk but long ago you could hit the fd off the mount and that would give you an instant stop. We used the hell out off that back in the day when raiding in kael (og velious) but i’m not sure if that’s been patched…fixed…then again if that’s still a thing you’d basically lose the aggro so …if it still works could just set your monk to chain pull and fd and have your hopefully sk tank use aor aggro

Too lazyto test if that’s still a thing…i pity anyone that isnt used a rogue or bard for autopud nowadays

The reason for the mount? Speed?
Always wondered this with mounts and fighting. Seen lots of people on mounts fighting, even Tanks. I thought you lost something while mounted, like being hit sitting, you take more damage?

Mana regen is why I use them. They also triple the speed of overall recovery when sitting in the lobby. About double when out and about.
