Problem - Monk FD problems (Monk keeps standing)

I'm pulling this out of the other thread.

For the last 2-ish weeks my monk is automatically standing after I manually FD it. It never used to do this. It's causing problems on pulls (I manually pull with the monk) and causing the monk to get killed.

standup is set to 0 in mq2melee. I've tried toggling it on and off, reloading mq2melee, and the issue persists. For KA I use eqmule's KA.

I've tried what @jamie75 said in the other post regarding /melee standup=0 then /melee save (also tried followed by a reload) and no luck, the problem is still there.



eqmule can stealth update his KA mod and you get latest version when Vanilla updates. But yeah, I'd post your ini & mq2melee stuff (server_Name.ini in Release folder) in a new thread and we'll take a look.

MQ2Melee's stand=, /stand command via holy/downs or KA "command" are only ways I know to trigger it.


I renamed the macro file from kissassist1004e15 to mulekiss and Windows shows the file hasn't been updated since 11/8 (probably when I renamed it). The issue with FD started happening maybe 2ish weeks ago. Let me know if you see something I'm missing.

might be that KA does not handle FD and stands the toon back up? my monk does the same thing i noticed tonight
 
I didn't see anything in the ini or mq2melee settings that would stand you.

Any pattern to when the /stand happens? LIke is it only when the monk is "out-of-combat" like FD worked for aggro? If you /sit does it also insta-stand?

Monk's don't have any AA/disc that force a stand right? You have to issue /stand to break your FD?

Let's narrow the culprit down a bit more:
  1. Play the monk in regular EQ with no MQ2 (/unload) Does it ever do the stand? If so check your keybinds and any hotkeys you used.
  2. Play the monk with no macros running but MQ2 loaded, does it do the stand? If so, it'd probably a plugin. Try turning off plugins (MacroQuest.ini or checkboxes in the starter icon) until you track it down.
  3. Skim your "/alias list" Anything in there that is issuing a /stand or related type command?
  4. How about if you use Vanilla KA 10.2.6 instead of eqmule's mod? If that stops it, then try updating to latest eqmule KA mod and try again. You could also try KA11.
  5. If all or certain mods/versions of KA are doing it, then we may have a code issue related to FD & /stand
 
I'll do some testing later today to see if it's MQ2/KA related or not. The most common scenario I see it happen is something like I'll pull on the monk and FD to split mobs, if a mob is close enough for the warrior to engage the warrior will aggro the mob, then the monk will stand itself back up and start fighting (which I don't want it to do if it has 10 other mobs aggroed on it from the pull).

It will also sometimes happen if I'm trying to ID mid-fight to use Breather. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I'll hit ID and the monk will FD and then instantly stand back up and start fighting.

From what I have tested it doesn't seem to be an in-game ability that does it. All of the abilities I've tested aren't usable while FD. They either return You must stand up first! or You must be standing to cast a spell. The only exceptions are abilities like Mend, ID, and some discs that can be started while FD, but don't stand you up.

The only way I know of to end FD at all is to issue a stand command, even if you are FDed and get hit by a spell to "break" FD the monk still has to actually stand to stand back up.
 
Just to update. I get the same behavior in both eqmule's KA and KA11. I can consistently get it to happen if I pull a mob to camp and then FD, the monk will immediately stand back up and attack after the Warrior engages the mob.
 
Sounds like there is something in the "I'm in camp and need to assist" part of KA that's doing the /stand. I'll skim it later but may need one of the KA coders figure it out.
 
i'm using mule's version. for me its when the group is wiping i think Melee is FD the monk correctly but KA is standing monk back up
 
It looks like it's a KA issue. KA is forcing a stand at the assist %. I swear that it didn't used to do this though.
 
It is not KA, it is MoveUtil. I don't know when it happened but sometime recently, moveutils will stand your character when /moveto and/or /stick is issued. To get MoveUtil to stop /standing your character use /moveto set feign on

I did that and it still stands at the KA assist %. I've tried /moveto set feign on /stick set feign on and setting FeignSupport in the ini to on. None of those are fixing it.

I also tried these and completely exited out and reloaded MQ/EQ and that didn't help either.

Do you get a message in the MQ2 window when these stands happen? I was skimming eqmule's mod and it looks like he has it set to /echo specific messages for each thing that might trigger a /stand. Some require Debug or MuleDebug to be turned on. I'm logging my group in to see if I can duplicate the assist /stand on my Beast.

Edit: I attached a copy of eqmule's KA mod with MuleDebug turned on by default. If you run this version on your monk, you'll get a lot more debug info in the MQ2 window. See if there is a certain message that pops up when your feign is broken.

There use to be a way to setup your monk in MQ2Melee to feign when your HP got low and then stand once you were healed. Not sure if there is another setting for auto standing you when the /killthis command is used.

This is new behavior from mq2melee. I haven't changed the mq2melee setting in KA in forever (until I turned it off yesterday). The FD issue only started about 2 weeks ago.

Resume in melee is the percentage of the mob in which you stand up to reengage I believe

I have resume set to 80 now and it still stands up and assists at the KA assist % (currently 95%).
 
Problem - Monk FD problems (Monk keeps standing)
