Question - Missing spells

hi guys,
Just wondering what you all do about missing spells that can't be bought from the PoK, spells like the "Ancient" line etc that are drop from mobs only.
Do you bother tracking them down still, as most of the ancient ones especially would tend to be well outdated once past about level 70 or so, some of them even sooner.
I ask because after buying the CTWN plugin for my cleric it keeps telling me about all the spells I'm missing, so if you guys don't worry about them I was also wondering if there was a way to tell macros and plugins not to worry about them (other than using the BYOS options).

If you are using CWTN resources and it says you are missing those, it will use those spells/abilities. It is a good idea to track them down.

i get any spells that i am missing that are reasonable to get - trying to farm ancient spell for a 1 or 2% upgrade isn't a super deal breaker, but if i have nothing to do i definitely would

I haven't noticed anything in particular that is a detriment to the point where it makes me want to invest the time into them at this point. The time is better spent elsewhere IMHO.

Well, that is the issue isn't it? So many things you want/need/feel compelled to do. I was working on like 12 things at once and just was overwhelmed. I stopped everything and re-evaluated priorities. The XP event was upon me, so stopped everything but the ToV Earring quest since I already had all my Tradeskills above 300, and focused on leveling/aa exp while doing that as well. Now the XP bonus is gone, and I finished my 6th earring quest, I am now focusing on Artisans and finishing AA. I still need epics, and a bunch of other stuff. Argh.

hehe, so many things to do alright!
18 chars and no epics yet. One failure with the cleric and not quite sure how to fix faction for him to try again now so that one's on hold.
I need the ancient spells tho so that might be a good excuse to try out raid boxing now that I've got three full groups.
🤔 Are there any threads with good boxing guides for raiding?

Is the ToV earring, still worth doing? I know relatively nothing about it.

It absolutely is if you are already deep into doing Tradeskills IMHO. Each part of the 7-part quest utilizes tradeskills and you need to have them all leveled up. Additionally, every achievement for ToV has to be completed at some point as well. Will be amazing after I finish PoP flagging and do the combines/turnins for Artisan's. It is considered Best In Slot (BIS) across the board for group gear, non raid. This is earring 6 for me:

Worth getting if you're a subbed char. Otherwise meh...

Here's your decision logic:
1) Is this char ever going to be subbed past Krono pop?
  • If yes, get TOV earring and TBL items
  • if not, move on...nothing to see here. Recommend Tear of Alaris using the /mac fragmentfarm mac instead for a time kill

I sub all my chars actually so def worth it for me, plus my SHD will always be subbed, even if I drop down on my others.
