Just wanted to give a hint out , The Mech guardian Exp is there still at the end , If u give the cpu the false code u can spawn as many mob's as you can handle and kill at a time , i power level'ed a 43 mage to 95 and 2500 aa's doing this in 3 days

I was one vacation or I woulda posted a bump on my post bout this from last year. Thanks for updating the folks Wannabe. This is a great lil trick that I honestly don't see in game much longer.

btw just to add:

If you shroud your entire group down to level 65, request the instance, then zone everyone in except for your 95, have him unshroud, then zone in. Make sure all the toons are on Main XP (doesnt work for AAs). Take your 95 into the instance and slaughter. Take your shrouded toons out whenever you want and remove the shroud, gain mass main XP. You can get from 1-95 in 1 day pretty easily.

Also, Sony knows about this, and basically said it is intended as long as "gold farmers" aka people power leveling up toons and selling accounts don't abuse it too much. They want it there to entice people to come back during anniversary time and get caught up in levels to their friends so they can group/raid etc (confirmed by a friend that talked to a few of the Devs).

And if you really want to make the best of this while you are shrouded in zone use an xp potion. Get shrouded grab a potion from the bank go inside pop potion and start mass killing.

Just as a reminder, before you shroud make sure you turn off aa exp. Forgot I had one set 90% to aa and made a massive 3% after six hours. :(

What's the lowest level main that can group with 70 shroud for AAXP? 90?

Did this for about 2hours today - made 40% reg xp at L94

Just a heads up for anyone who doesn't know, you still get exp on your toons if you leave them at Gearbie (at zone in). You only need to take the PL'r to the CPU room.

Hm, i've tried this and when i unshroud my 66 necro, she doesnt get any exp when shes unshrouded, she has a double exp pot going? Im confused. How do I get the exp? I killed probobly 700 or so on my warrior and didnt get anything.

(Regular EXP and a double eXP potion)

1. Shroud both toons to 65.
2. Activate the instance. This should activate the "Level 65-69" version of the quest.
3. Remove the shroud from the Warrior (the 95 or wahtever level he is)
4. Zone in, do all the thingdings and get to the CPU. Slaughter.
5. Zone out with your PLee toon, remove the shroud, get exp. Repeat.

Having the experience potion running on your non-shrouded toon does nothing. You need to put the exp pot in your bank, shroud, go to yor bank and get the exp pot and activate it on the Shrouded version of your character.

The AA xp is massively nerfed because people were getting literally 5000+ AA in 1 day doing this last year.

is this still good for normal xp ? ncccippy what method did you use to get that much xp in 2 hours? is it the same as tarquinn listed?

Also, thanks for the awesome explaination tarq :)

The AA XP is nerfed. It just won't work, so don't bother trying it. This is strictly only good for power leveling a character from 65-95 in literally record time.

It won't be worth doing at 55 with a full group because the mobs hit extremely hard if you are "on tier" so to speak. For instance, if you request the level 85-89 version, the trash mobs hit for around 7000 - about like HoT or VoA trash.

Again, the reason that this works is because you are shrouding down to level 65 and getting a very very low level (65!) version of the instance, and then you are able to remove the shroud from your level 95 and zone in and slaughter an unlimited amount of level 65 mobs which con grey to your 95, but it will still give experience to your level 65 (the character that keeps his level 65 shroud on). When you remove your shroud, you "gain" all that experience because that is how shrouding works.

Any other variation of trying to out-think this encounter or exploit it won't work.

It wouldn't be hard but I think the xp would be so little that it might not be worth it the point is to swarm.

I might try to do one tomorrow night if i get time. Macroing the entire task would not really be an option, at least not initially and without a LOT of work, as it takes a good 15 -20 minutes to set up and is a lot of walking around with a few see invis mobs around. but a quick and dirty Hail kill hail should be easy.

Anyone know when the 12th anniv quests will be gone i've heard conflicting info.

honestly it would be better IMO to have a separate macro specifically for this rather than trying to squeeze in temporary code that is only useful for this one task.

This is over as of the 16th, so if you're planning on doing this, you only have a few days left.

Also, once you've done the mission once, SAVE THE BOOK OF CODES! Future missions mean you can skip the entire task and go straight to the CPU and start farming. So far my monk has PLd 7 characters to 95 using this and I'm hoping to make a shitload of money over the next couple days PLing randoms. You guys don't have too much fun :)

ps

All you need to do is initially hail Gearbie @ zone in, and then you can run straight to the CPU and start the hails. The code to say to him is '993333'

You don't need a book of codes, or do literally anything else.

Swarming is definitely the way to go, but I only have my monk at level 84 who can do that, and then I have 45 minutes of downtime waiting for discs to reset. Afk killing while waiting on discs would be perfect. If you wanted to try making a simple one that could do it, I would be majorly in your debt.

I'm apparently doing something wrong; I followed tarq's instructions, but i only got 1 post-90 level/hour; the xp was still good, but not as great as others have mentioned. Any idea what I may be screwing up?

Post 90 takes about an hour per level without any form of XP potion/RAF/Bonus etc

And btw, think about what you're saying. "only" 1 level an hour post 90 :P

Also, here is an approximate thing you can go by: With only 2 people in the group (your 95 and the 65), and no xp pot/bonus etc, 80 mobs gives approximately 3.5% of a level from 90-91. So that is about 2400 mobs. Again, rough numbers but it is very close. You can kinda use those numbers to judge about how long it will take you to do your levels.

Puck its all about what you are using to kill. My necro can easily pull 40 mobs at a time and destroy them all, monks with there riposte disc also tear stuff up .... its a numbers game the faster u can kill several at a time the faster you level

Im a PL n00b. How do you do it with lower levels? cant shroud a level 43 up to 65 so they can group?

Just using DS and outside group? guess would have to be since its only way to make AAs also right?
