Coldblooded submitted a new resource:

Magellan - Travel Utility - When you can't spell zones to use /travelto, ask Magellan to show you the way.

Okay this is pretty simple Lua script that I've been using a for a while. I kind of "made her look all purdy" with some purple lipstick and a few icons on the buttons, but basically this is just me not exactly knowing how to spell Ssraa Temple and getting tired of looking it up, or staritng /travelto and then realizing I forgot to pick up snacks at the local vendor. So I have a handy list of zones in the game and a filter, as well as some buttons to start and pause navigation. Nothing...

When I try to run it I get this error message:

I have tried both downloading it manually and using the RG Launcher to download it.

lib.zones looks like something I'm supposed to have, but I'm not familiar with it and searching RG and Google doesn't bring anything up:

I am experiencing the same thing. It looks like zone library isn't present. I am looking forward to using this.

In addition to travelto for groups, i think raid and all would be nice additions. I'm mostly using /dga /travelto xxxx so will go ahead and add that to my version. Well... once the error is sorted through. Getting the same as others above.

This is really handy and the wife LOVES the purple so huge plus !!!!!

Question.... Some of the zones are not shown. The zones are listed in the Lua/lib/zones.Lua file...
but when I type in plane I get results of demiplane of life and decay..... but I am looking for plane of war, Plane of Disease , Plane of Tranquility etc ...

The Lua I installed put the zones.Lua in the directory... could you suggest something I can try ? This looks like a great utility !

How is the filter on this working? Example if i type in Steamfont or any variation like it i do not get the zone in the filter.

This is amazing and been waiting for someone to do this and not trying to take away from anything. But as this evlolves i would like some sort of Expac or continent tab or filtering built in. Example a carrot with the zones similiar to druid or wiz ports ( when you right click on an empty spell slot and click on transport) would be amazing so i can find things easier relating to areas or expansion and not have to filter thru what doesnt apply to the user. Example if am in the velious expac i could turn unclick chosen expacs off and have Velious and clicked off maybe similar to Gina?

A couple of things, so I'll address each separately.

Filtering works just fine, but - I forgot to make it case insensitive, so "steamfont" isn't going to find anything, but "Steamfont" will. I'll update that, and I appreciate the feedback.

In regards to showing zones by expansion. I have the expansion information available and originally showed the zones by Expansion - but it seemed unnecessary honestly. If there's interest in that kind of display, I don't have any problem making it that way - maybe a toggle between a flat list organized alphabetically, and a list grouped by expansions? I don't have content information (I'm using the zones.ini file) so that would need to be researched and updated. The same would go for linking zones to druid/wizard ports. That data isn't currently compiled.

I know this is like a small number of us, but as a raid boxer, I'd love to have it automatically check if you are in a raid and adjust the dannet commands or the raid check box.
/docommand ${If[${Raid.Members}, /dgra /travelto xyz, /dgga /travelto xyz]}

Thanks!

Coldblooded updated Magellan - Travel Utility with a new update entry:

Smaller footprint and more choices!

A couple of things in this upgrade, one that was suggested by users, and the other is just something I thought would be nice to have.

First up is a tabbed listing of zones, either in a single flat list (original) or now a grouped list by expansions as shown below:

The second upgrade is a toggleable zone listing, shrinking the UI down to only the buttons (and thereby reducing the footprint on the screen) while traveling.

This is a very nice program. I have two wishes.

1) If you use the group button, can we use the stop button to stop the group?

2) Using this program in guildhall makes you leave the guildhall to the guild neighbor zone. Can this be disabled or even better use the guildhall portal systems?

Thank you again, very nice work.

I can help with #2. Put this in your config file. -- it is this multiline:
/multiline ; /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} pause on; /mqp on; /timed 30 /keypress FORWARD hold; /timed 40 /nav loc 2 -493 -16; /timed 50 /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} pause off; /timed 50 /mqp off

It'll take you to the porter when you walk in and bypass the ghall neighborhood

UGH! Sorry abt #1, I'll get a fix out for that today. Kids are home for Spring break and I've not been following this closely.

Not sure abt #2, will need to look into this. I think the *fix* would be to perhaps update the easynav zone_connections.ini file in your config directory, but I'm not positive.

Is there a way for it to always remember if I choose Group Travel? I usually only use Magellan when I am doing group, otherwise I type it out manually for self.

The only thing I could think of to add to this is a column with the Zone.ID and Zone.ShortName. I don't always want to travel and could use it as a data tool!

Ok, interesting thing came up that affected Magellan only. I could not type in the zone box. At all. Stopped, restarted, same thing. None of my other Lua scripts were affected. Just Magellan. Opening it on another char, seems fine.

Just tried your Lua out tonight Cold, its awesome ! I tested group and Solo travel. As I try more zones I will let you know if any issues arise. There is a feature request I'd like to suggest/wish. Could you list a zone level average on the side of the names? So I can choose where to go fight and travel straight to an appropriate place for my group or character level.

I'm looking at a smart way to handle this, and to populate a curated list of zones with level information in it.
