Problem - Mage (one of 3 toons Mage War Chanter) will not run the BUFF section

A couple weeks ago everything worked fine. Then I noticed it wasn't casting Mod Rods, then it stopped casting the Icebound Paradox and Firebound Orb. It will still weave them in if I manually cast them though. Today I notice (or Realize) it isn't doing anything in the BUFF section. I've rebooted, re updated and completely deleted MQ and KA and fully reinstalled. I've rebuilt the INI from a freshly created one...I've substituted a formally working INI and get the same result. No BUFF Section. Everything else works fine. I'm at a loss.

I actually watched it fail from 1 pull to the next...

Do exactly as has been suggested by kaen01.

Big nono is the AFKGMAction... always refer to the manual when ot sure of how to set something..... there is no "/quit" option.... it is represented by the number 4 option.

AFKGMAction=0 Off, 1 Pause Macro, 2 End Macro, 3 Unload MQ2, 4 Quit Game

The Double rebuffon shouldn't blow up your game... but it certainly should NOT be there.

Changing status to waiting on user input/feedback... let us know what happens.

Completed the above changes. No effect. will not buff. I just don't know how it can randomly start and stop doing it. It just doesn't make sense to me...

make a backup of your ini, remove the original ini, start kissasist and let it build a new ini then copy paste in your buffs1 to buffs14. then see if it that will work, if it does just copy paste in all the other things.

Moved the ini to a separate folder and renamed it.
Reinjected MQ
Targeted my MA and ran KA. It created the new empty INI.
I ended KA and then I then copied buffs1 to 14 and pasted them into the new INI.
Re Targeted the MA and ran KA again.

Will not buff. It scans it when it starts as it sees there is no Mod Rod in inventory. I'm at a loss...

remove the |1 on these 3 buffs.

Make sure you have MQ2Cast plugin loaded every spell you are casting is returning CAST_NO_RESULT.

I just noticed that as it loads the KA script, the 2 boxes for Blocked Spells are not poping up...it seems like something stalled somewhere...

Then add 1 buff at a time back until it malfunctions. Then ...... well you know.

I use the official, but during the process I tried eqmule to see if it would do the same thing...It does.

So, finally had time to test the Playbetter solution...
Made a fresh INI and added one BUFF in. - Nothing
Tried another in place of that one. -Nothing
Tried a couple buffs. -Nothing
Tried all 14 Buffs. -Nothing

During this process i know this:

1. KA never finishes its loading process. The "Blocked Spell" boxes no longer flash up.
2. It does cast Buff2 when needed
3. It does cast Buff3 when needed
4. It does cast Buff6 when needed
5. None of the others cast. Except sometimes when everything just works for no apparent reason.
6. My enchanter works 100%
7. My Warrior works 100%

Ok (and I know this may sound like a stupid asinine, dumb question) Do you actually have the spells its NOT casting in your spellbook?
Is there a chance you have a DIFFERENT version of the Orb, Paradox, and Mana Rod in your inventory?

And if you could please repost your ini file.

And something you may have already done, but I usually try if things start getting weird.. I MOVE the entire MQ2 release file, redownload MQ2 and all its accompaniments and start out fresh all across the board (copy and paste what I need to into the newly created ini files, etc....).
Yes it is a bit of work and a lot of hassle, but sometimes it just needs to be done.

There is always the chance you have a corrupted copy of SOMETHING that just interferes with one or two classes.

Meistro, yes the spells are there. Remember, sometimes everything works flawlessly.

Jensen, I tried your INI and it doesn't buff. I think I've exhausted the possibility its INI related. Somethings gptta be buggy and its not loading all of KA.

Moving and renaming everything, gonna D/L it all fresh...stay tuned.

Just a thought, you say the blocked spells, and blocked pet spells dont show?
Maybe it's a UI thing - try loading default ui

So, OK...I re-downloaded everything...re-installed and rebooted PC.

It didn't work any different for a day or so and then after a restart I saw the Blocked Spell boxes come up, and it began to do the buff routine!
Except now, it will not cast the mod rod but will use it if I cast it manually.
It will not cast the Orb, and will NOT use it either even if I cast it.
The yesterday it stopped running the buff routine again...and then today it started again...

It (KA) doesn't finish loading...that's when it fails. I dunno why its not weaving the Orb or Not casting it and the mod rod...but at least its a different problem..sometimes...

Its the same on Default UI...

Plus, I use the same UI on all 3 toons and it is flawless on the other 2.

maybe delete your blocked spells file for that toon and try it again?

also maybe as a test remove all the spells that are blockable as in your mount and mod rods and the caster items and see if things work

Doing the full reinstall seems to have sorted most of the issues out. The odd time though, it still doesn't load completely and the buff section wont run. I know when its happening as the "Blocked Spell" windows don come up...Just dunno why.
