Problem - Macro start arguments changed? and other odd things

When starting KA from my primary toon with a hotkey that sends this out a message like this.


/bct tanksname //mac kissassist magesname


The 5 toons that I run with KA all throw the following error. "you have >> null << targeted."
This method has worked since at least December when another member here clued me into it.




Second isue is that when starting KA I am getting the following message, eg on my shaman.


"[MQ2] Using MoveUtil to move with Turgur's Swarm"


Third issue, all of my toons are during combat spamming the mq2 window with messages like.
"'Chaotic Inferno' is not ready!" when it clearly is ready and can be triggered with hotkey and mouse.


I am using the latest version of MQ2, just ran the patcher and it says I am up to date.

Until now the mage, shaman, and rogue have been solid, the sk seems a bit flaky and will sometimes just stand there instead of attacking, the cleric usually heals well but sometimes seems lost in thought and will just quit healing and just stand there until I restart KA.

The shaman message, is just an error in the message. I will fix that.

should be:

The Not Ready message you are getting, is while you are in the Gift Of Mana routine. You get that message when ${Me.SpellReady[${GoMCast]} returns false. if the spell is ready to cast while you are getting this message, then there is a problem with MQ2 and/or the EQ Client not updating properly. There were no changes made to that part of the macro this go round.

I archived my MQ2 setup and downloaded from scratch, ran kissassist on each toon to generate fresh ini files and only gave the toons a few critical spells/abilities.

Thus far things seem ok most of the time, but every once in a while the boxes will fixate on the target I punted(silent displacement) with the bard instead of the one I pulled to the group, they will be targeting the other mob even though it isn't in the extended target list.
Using /bcga //assist ${Me}, works but why should I have to do this when it is the only mob in camp and only mob on agro.

Another thing of note, if you put in the ini file to use spell slot 13 and you dont have it unlocked, the toon will spam standing sitting trying to load a spell into that slot, might want to add a check on the spell gem slots.

That all depends on your Melee distance. Melee distance is what determines when the tank takes off after the mob, but you don't want that to be small. It should at least encircle the whole group, or you can wind up having your tank stand around while the rest of the group gets killed. If you have a moving mountain type ability you could just pull the mob to you.

As far as who is targeting what all depends on who is assisting who when you start kiss. if you use a puller and a tank, the puller should be assisting/targeting the tank when starting kiss. The tank should be assisting/targeting himself, NOT the puller and everyone else in the group should assist the tank. If you are using a pullertank, then everyone assists the pullertank.

What I have been doing was I play bard without KA, mage was pettank, group all had mage targeted at the start of KA. Well as of late that wasn't working, group would just stand there not attacking, it was only the mage doing so. Now as of today I have everyone assisting the bard and well it seems to work well but the tank is running off to attack quite a long way away from the rest of the group.

Your campradius doesn't determine when the tank engages mobs. Your MeleDistance is what is checked, but you don't want your MeleeDistance to be smaller than your CampRadius.

Yea, 50 units is still better than nothing, if you had a monk you could use their Moving Mountains ability it has a 250 unit range I think.

Hate's Attraction is like moving mountains and the range is fairly long.

I previously totally didn't understand that, I thought meleedistance set your stick range.

So how do I set melee distance then? with mq2melee plugin? I want my tank to stand nose to nose with the mob, closer than the mage pet due to fucky agro with undead, i tried that but it doesnt seem to change anything even after /melee save and /melee load

And while I was typing this message I again had the group go fixate on the target I didn't pull to group. Could you please make the group ignore everything not on the agro list?

the group only targets what the MA targets.

If you are using MQ2melee, and have UseMQ2Melee turned on in kiss then you need to setup the StickCMD in MQ2Melee, other wise the default stick setting for MQ2melee is Mob MaxMelee-2. The stickcmd in MQ2melee can't be changed from the command line. you have to edit the servername_charactername.ini file in the MQ2 directory. change the stickrange, stickmode, and stickcmd entries.

I will say this again. The group will only target the mobs that the Main Assist targets, so if you have assist set at 100 and your tank targets a mob, then they will attack it.
