Question - Lvln?

Anyone tried to lvl a new toon using collections??

I haven't, but that's an interesting proposition. Aren't they aa's only?

would be very costly id have thought, unless of course you've already farmed all the collection items on another toon.
see people offering 50k+ for 1 collection item

Collections are a fixed 3% regardless of level and therefor would be a shit investment for leveling purposes

That would be the reason i asked. I have a ton i have collected an stuck in bank over the last few years. I thought i would ask before i wasted them. It is still better than destroying them i guess

You might as well just benefit from AAs, also there are achievements to be had from them. Such as the poxy bag that ONLY holds collection items... Man was I pissed when I got that.

The thought was good anyhow. You could level quite a bit from 1 and get lots of AAs in EQ2 from collections, but it worked differently.

It would take a while to do. As previously stated you get about 3% regular exp OR 11 AA. I use them when I need some TS AA quick

I hate you people, seriously! I just took a level 1 and gave him a few hundred different collections, and yeah he is awesome at level 3 now..... so nope, not a good way to level...

just to be upfront, the collection AA gain is on a slide scale (for those reading and not knowing) the lower your level the less AA you get. At 100 it is 10 AA, 105 it is 11. If has been a while but I think at 95ish it is 7.

Anyways, before someone decides to AA out thier toons at 95 (the current autogrant limit) be aware of the difference levels would do =)

I save my thousands of collectables and when a toon hits max AA and zero banked I give him 10 sets to finish him off to 105 banked.... I have stacks upon stacks of collectables

at 105 you get 11AA per turning of 6-10 but mostly 8 of each set... and its nice!
