My Mage ini is a little different then the others I have seen here so I figured I would post it. This one will keep both high dmg shields on the tank when in battle. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Updated to fix some summoned item issues and to remove pet armor summoning.

Cant get large modulation shard to work it will cast it then it stuck on mage and wont assist the ma... how would I fix it
 
Strange I don't have any problems with it. Actually after looking at it again it's most likely not usingthe shard but it summons one and continues on. My group has a bst and ench so almost never out of mana. It does take a little while to cycle through all the pet summons and pet items if u have a new pet. Make sure you are running the latest kissassist macro.
 
Oh... I like the damage shields on the tank.. hadn't thought of that.. will add this to my mage. Thank you.
 
You don't need to cast any pet items except the weapons, but only for Procs. I'm on my phone or I would post the link where I talked to Roshen about it. I only give mine weapons.

I keep flameskin and Molten Veil on my MA, and manually hit surge when we have more than 2 adds.
 
Now if only you could also give items to other player's pets; they don't come pre-loaded with cool stuff.

I was wondering if you give the pack to your other toon, can you then use KA to give toys to the pet? Think I'll try that later.

That is a very interesting idea but it probably won't work because i think its hard coded for mages. It is a very good avenue though to open other pet classes for pettoys since the code already exists and we know it works fine.

I would have to look at mage buffs and summoning packs for other toons as well.
 
There are a few ways I'd try it, but ultimately they aren't really keeping it simple. You would have to have the mage "buff" the packs to all pet casters. then the pet casters would have to equip. All gear can be granted as packs to be unfolded.
 
Thats really not that hard. it would be a command for the mage /pettoysothers and he would summon and target any pet class in group. The toon if it found the bags would automatically equip the pet. This would only work with the grant type spells.
 
You couldn't give the toys directly to other's pets? That's how I usually do it manually. IIRC, you can access the Pet through the Spawn TLO, so that shouldn't really post a problem, should it?

I would think it is simpler to give the items directly to pets instead of coordinating the giving process with a third party (the pet owner). You either do the work of giving from the mage, or do the work of giving from the pet owner -- with the added step of detecting that items are granted to them.
 
I am talking about the coding. The summoning and giving toys to your pet is already in place and works. Making the mage cast the items on the players and they give the items will be the easiest and quickest to code.
 
I'm talking about code, too. If you give the pet toys to the owner, you have to add in something to either communicate that they have pet toys now, or some sort of pet toy detection. Whereas, if the mage just gave the toys to the pet directly, you'd just have to

/call GiveTo "${Cursor.Name}" ${Group.Member[name].Spawn.Pet.ID}

one line is much simpler than new detection routines.
 
I can't get Surge of Shadow to cast on my MA using this ini. Infernal Skin casts fine. (Yes it's on my hotbar)
 
I will double check to make sure it fires on mine. I did have a few issues with the ini I posted. I will post my current ini in a few mins.

I have verified he does cast Surge of shadow on the main tank. Try the updated ini. If you have the rank 2 spell you would need to modify it.
 
Ok so I am very new to this and was wondering if there was a way to get a mage tank to attack the mob being pulled, as it stands now the mage pulls the mob into the camp and starts casting on it while the pet is on guard and beating on my mage, is there a way to say, once the mob gets within X range /petattack?
