Question - LS group makeup

I've read the forums and was reading about the melee weapons being upgraded. Has anyone compared them to casters dps? As in should we go pure melee or a mixture? I am still not sure I understand how they upped the melee damages.

I did a comparison for my group. Not a thorough analysis of all classes.

On the few samples i checked i found:

DoT base damage increase 15%
DD's base damage increase 20%
Weapon base damage increase 65%

So does that mean build Melee as usual or they give any casters tweaks hehe?

some classes got buffs, some got nothing.. play what you like.. tank, healer, cc... meta will be SK/shm/brd/3 melee... doesnt mean tank/healer/cc/caster dps isnt viable..

war got buffed DPS wise. rog/rng/bst/zerker for melee. wiz for casters, but just brought them up to mage level.

SK/SHM/MAGE/NEC/NEC/ENC is what I have no problems with anything

weaepon dmg went up about 15-20% in group content and like 35% with raid from what nos raid was at. also, you need a class with a mana based stunned to beat 1 mission, so sk,shm,melee groups cant do it. i gotta sub in my cleric to beat it. the mission is Final Fugue.
