Question - Looking for the best duo

I currently have a Beastlord, Mage, Enchanter, Wizard, Ranger, and ideally, I just want to focus on two characters to duo current/old prog, augs, and exp, I'd possibly be open to a trio but I am looking for your suggestion.

I'd play one of the characters as the main and KA the bot.

If you're only running two characters and not adding a J5 healer merc, then yeah you'd need to give up the excellent cc (ench/bard.) Mage pet is your best tank, sham is a healer that brings slow & weaker cc as root or "debuffall/slow" in KA. If you'll run mercs too, then Mage/Ench is great with J5 healer + J5 dps.

On older content you could run a variety of options, with an EoK geared ranger or beast tanking. You could even do Ench charm pet + an evac class for bad charm breaks.

Jumping up to three accounts gives you mage tank + any healer + either cc, plus lets you drop campfires.

W/ J5 Mercs I would use:
Mage / PetTank && J5 DPS Caster
Bard / Puller && J5 Healer

Based on classes you have.

and block the weak heals from the mercs that they should have stopped using a long time ago.

or just roll 3 and add in an autocleric
