Question - Leveling new group , question about AUTOGRANT.

So I've started a new 6 box group on a live server. All of the accounts are silver and I plan to gold the tank when they are all closer to 85. My question is about auto-grant AA. At what point should I activate the other accounts with Krono to use auto-grant?

It depends. :)

If you only plan on staying Gold on the tank and would like to maximize the single Krono spent on each of the supporting classes then you would have to tough it out until 100 and then turn on the auto-grant.

If you only had Bronze accounts then I would say turn on Krono earlier but 1000AAs on the Silvers give a bit more leeway.

Also it depends on the classes.

A pure healer would do pretty decently with the 1000AAs until 100.

I think Bard and Chanter can also stay with the 1000AAs until 100.

Wiz can also do okay with 1000AAs.

Mage also would be okayish with 1000AAs if you do not plan to pet tank.

Hybrids I am not so sure.

I thought free accounts only got 250AA?

What I personally did was xp till it became hard to kill at good XP rate, then switched to 100% AA and maxed the free AA on all accounts.

Then I bought gold for my tank and bard(puller) and exp'd as high as I could (think it was like 95).
Then I bought gold for all my accounts and was able to get to 105 and max'd my AA.
Total probably used 8 Kronos

A lot of it was gear releated as well, gear upgrades happen very fast and there is a lot of waste

LamahHerder, OP has 6 silver accounts with the 1000AA limit which is why the answer is not so clear cut.
Free level (Bronze) is the 250AA limit.

If you already have a good main with lots of AAs for PLing then it makes sense to save the Krono on alts until 105, then you can gain some AAs that are not auto-granted using the bonus XP and only then turn on auto-grant.

I rarely PL my groups, preferring to level them up doing various quests and achievements.

My path is usually to get a few (50-100ish) AA's (like run fast) as soon as I can. Then I buy a krono and autogrant at about level 75 and roughly ever 10 levels thereafter. It mostly depends on when I start having trouble keeping the tank on his feet. Tank, puller and healer have priority for autogrant. Spell caster (wizards) can easily go much longer before really needing AA's. The tradeoff is they do less DPS. If the character will be doing tradeskills then I will focus on getting all the tradeskill AA's before autogrant.

It really comes down to can your group survive the content you are playing without the AA's. If your group is struggling it's time to get them their AA's.
