i seem to be running into an issue once i install redguides launcher/create mq2 destination folder. now where i seem to get caught up is searching for the appropriate destination for the plugin files & other files that came together w/ plugin download. i understand that macros go into the macros folder "right?" eh well for the plugin files that are downloaded, etc is there a main folder for em to be extracted into? for example the "mq2pluginmanager" doesnt seem to execute when it is entered as /pluginman or /plugin pluginman... another problem i am at a stand-still w/ is the "rgmerc" or the "rgstart" its no matter how i enter into chat handle. once i did get it running and after the first fight i would have to /endmac & start it up again.. rinse, repeat. /mac rgmercinstall is doing nothing. is this just me or? ive tried uninstalling it all then reinstalling over again to no avail. i hope i am being clear on the issue(s) im having.. can someone link me a step-by-step guide to installing mq2/kissassist/rgmercs/shambot/xgen etc etc? i just need a box setup for a mage/shaman so if someone could recommend me the top macs/plugs to use that would be helpful. thanks you all.

Correct

eh well for the plugin files that are downloaded, etc is there a main folder for em to be extracted into?

Plugins go in the main MQ2 folder. For me, it is D:\RedGuides VV but everyone is different.

for example the "mq2pluginmanager" doesnt seem to execute when it is entered as /pluginman or /plugin pluginman...

Try /plugin mq2pluginmanager load

I dont know anything about RGmerc, but if you want to run a macro, its "/mac macronamehere", replacing macronamehere with the macro of your choice that is in the macro folder.

Plugins are installed automatically using the launcher, and the launcher can do macros that you are "Watching" which are the ideal method of dealing with installing things for Redguides.

For plugins with commands like /pluginman you'll want to make sure the plugin is loaded first, /plugin MQ2PluginManager load will load the plugin, then you can try /pluginman.

Note that the first time you load it you should be informed that you need to reload the UI. /loadskin default should allow the custom UI window to appear.
