I changed the location when LEM brought you back.
Just tank the last boss at his spawn spot.


Ok, this works great! This guide will make this event trivial, so enjoy.

Do not use chase.
Set the camp radius for the tank at 100
Set the camp radius for the rest at 250
Auto assist at 100 for all.

When you start the event place your group in these locations to start it.

Start Group=-1100.73 177.452 192.308
Start Tank=-1014.33 231.213 192.308

Kill the slime here if your DPS is slow kill the main slime first, then kill the add. The spider will spawn and agro but not damage him so his event will not start.
Kill any green slime you may have and then kill the spider.

The spider will despawn and spawn eggs. Only eggs can be killed by pets.

Make a hotkey to target eggs, pet attack swarm pets attack.
Make sure you send those commands as a group.

Once the spider is dead. Go kill the Lich.
I do not worry about the mummy, make sure you kill Lich fast.
This is key, to make sure your group is on follow for this part of the event.

Once the Lich is dead, get agro on the last boss and tank it at his spawn point.
Once at this spot take follow me off.


DO NOT USE FOLLOW ME OR COME TO ME AT THIS POINT, IF YOU DO YOU WILL WIPE THE GROUP.


Now make sure my LEM is Running : )

This will make everything so easy at this point, just burn the mummy first if you have one.
The SK can heal himself with the main healer out of range.


Side note: If you want to get the Echo Achievement.
Make 2 buttons for each toon in your group. Hide=113.911 -644.581 25.2913<<<<< Might have to swap the first two sets of numbers not sure why my setup is different from others. Hide=-644.581 113.911 25.2913

First button: /dexecute yourtoonname /nav wp hide

Secondon button: /dexecute yourtoonname /nav id ${Me.ID}


With these two buttons, you can run one toon back and forth to keep the echo in reaching the second toon. You want to have a full burn on the last boss. The faster it goes down less echos you have to dodge.

Has anyone actually had their healer targeted for the aura? I have not, and I've done it about 12 times?

Yes, they do get it. I'd recommend keeping HoT up. Fortunately her damage output is not bad other than the purple death auras, so you can set them to manual & unpause whatever script you have going. once they get to their runaway point. Mummies on the other hand will eat you.
 
This sounds like a good candidate for a master control Lua script, to do plugins, rgmercs, and KA as well as LEM

It could do something like enumerate classes and do stuff according to your class and who you designate as the tank.
 
I'm still new to this MQ2... what would be the commands to make setting camps. I've tried it and my characters all act up and won't assist me.

Need a little help... do you pull the slime all the way across the map at the beginning? Also had to adjust your z axis, mesh wasn't finding the locations you posted.

I use MQ2Nav tools UI

Might have to swap the first two sets of numbers to make it work with other tools.


I tank the slime where he spawns, and I put the rest of the group just south of the slime, to avoid the AE.

I use mq2nav too. Not sure why they would be switched but the locs I’m using are definitely in the wrong spot. Might need to look at the LEM too, to see if I need to switch them there.

When do you use hide?

What I was refering to with the LEM, was maybe the need to switch the X and Y locs there too. Do I need to mess with those? For Example using the command /nav locxyz -644.581 113.911 25.2913 it takes me all the way down the tower to grass... I doubt that is the right location...

I dont really understand why our X and Y's are reversed... I use /nav loc ALL the time and have never needed to do that.
 
Did a few tries (10 attempt) the closest I got was 20%. My group is mostly melee, level 124 SK, Brd, Shm, Rog, Mnk, Bst. I have no issue getting to the last boss, but once I pull her to the spot, after a few runs people start dying. And usually ends up with SK, Shm and maybe another dps who refuses to attack due to lack of energy.

Slime: I can kill it before his big boom 99% of the time.
Spider: Depends really on where she teleports but usually can kill all eggs. I use Bst pet buff around 3rd warp.
Lich: Can kill him before he summons any mummy.

So the issue is the last boss for me. I use my burn on lich so that I do not get any mummy adds. I can see the LEM running back and forth down the stairs for my shm and maybe one dps. but I don't know why it keeps exploding. It usually happens on the first set of emotes.

P.S. Tried 3 times the technique just running in circles with everyone. 2 out of 3 times it exploded instantly wiping the group. Dunno how I got lucky with one of the attempts but it did not kill but only one song was following us. At 5% it exploded the entire group.
 
There is a bug on the second echo, that does a small AE when it returns to the person it's called.

Got to be able to eat those AE.
 
Hmm... I see. All my toons have around 420k. Guess I better come back at level 125 with gear. Also I never bothered to buff with cleric merc before going in. Might as well give me the edge I need to survive the explosions. Will try a few more times see if it gets any better. My tank can survive but she will eventually run out of mana. maybe swapping to mana recovery line instead of hp might help as well.

All chars are using their class plugin except the bard.

P.S. Also to note, I think the reason why I am getting hammered by the emotes is because the last boss aggros soon after the lich dies, unlike the other minis which takes a little time to activate. Thus I have seen a few times the tank was targetted by the emote, which screws things up qutie brutally. Since the lich frigging ports every 5-10 secs, mostly 5 seconds I do not know where the lich will die, and I want him dead before the mummy spawns. I assume with a caster group things are a little different.

The teleport pattern of the lich is mostly circular, but there is one time where he spawns right in front of the last boss. Sometimes I can kill near the western building which is far enough to not aggro the boss. Anyways... guess more tries are in order. Hopefully its easier at 125.

Can also just do the event normal and then when Shalowain comes to just pause the group and DA everyone with bard. and then burn shalowain!
 
I have read something similar in the official forms. Yeah I might try that. I guess it can be included in the LEM see how that works.

This works perfectly, just make sure you bard DA as soon as Lich dies, since you only have a few seconds before the first emote hits. I have a hotkey for bard `/mqp on` and `/twist off` and then I manually cast DA.

As soon as you see the sound echo explosion emote, broadcast a command `/removebuff kazumi` so you can burst Shalowein down before the next set of echos pop. I haven't tried it, but you can probably use valias bravery clicky to avoid the ae as well, but the timing might be tricky. You fail the achieve this way, but whatever.

Somehow I got the achievement success message doing it this way. Shouldn't be able to, but it happened. Happy accident challenger method? lol

My melee dps dies on the first or second AOE then my group runs around doing the LEM until they die from the AOE. With just SK DPs on Shalowain the lowest I've gotten him is 34% with the previous LEM and now I can get to 60 with the update. Is there a way to avoid the AOE or keep my melee dps alive long enough to win?
 
I have not gone back to try again. But if you have a bard in your team, use the group DA song just after the lich dies. It should protect you from the initial song emotes. In case you do not know about bard DA song, its Kazumi's Note of Preservation, level 60. 3min reuse time, 12sec (18 if focused) duration.
 
Would love to see some info on folks doing this 100% group geared. I'm being roasted by slime aoe. Videos info i see are raid geared folks who non burn aren't even getting the small slime to show up. Its showing up for me around 60% or so. So videos from forums/youtube are at least doing 2x my dps. Also have 100k more health (working on getting my team in all tradeskill gear but it will be a while.

Thanks for the lem and nav.ini stuff. Useful for positioning, but i'm not even going to try this anymore until my group gets 100k more hp .....
 
I do it group geared. And don’t get any adds with slime, what’s your group make up? Levels? Max aa? Is it the aura he spawns that’s killing you?

team is all 125 now, and no not max aa, varies on class, but if 60k aa would be max they probably around 40-45k aa. So a long way from max. gold accounts. by no means min/maxed. war/cler/rog/wiz/mag/enc - yes the aura is roasting me. I only ran 2 attempts. 1st time I had tank do hail to start event. That was bad - So i got setup in the positions better and had rogue start event. The casters were safely out of the aoe. But the first aoe from slime does about 95% dmg to the rogue? The 2nd wiped tank/rogue (rogue probably had a hot on, and not back to 100% health) I just gave up at that point, reading it gets harder as we go didn't seem like my team was ready. Are you beating the slime down so fast that you get no aura? This is what I see on videos -
 
Yeah I kill the slime with no adds / aura. None burn my team 5-6m dps. I save burns for the Lich has it’s a pita and you don’t want to get any mummy adds. And yes it only gets more difficult has the event goes on.

I start with tank and just wonder down to the slime with everyone on follow too

I dont think I can hit 6m dps with burns going. Guess I have more work todo.
 
The last LEM I saw has them run away and stay away, is there the possibility of looking for the event that the notes lose track and then PCs return to within 100-200 of Shalo?
