Lag Issue

the last month or so I lag out when ever someone or a pet dies. The same thing will happen when a mob goes to attack me. Its only a split second, but if a bunch of pets die on a raid I get massive lag. Im on cable internet and have never had this problem before. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

also turn off / purge your log file, if you use the logging in EQ.

Not familiar with the logging in EQ. How do you turn it off and on, and what does it log to begin with?

/log off :P
/log on

it basically records everything that happens to your toon... I guess someone could copy/paste what it looks like... think of it as a record of all your chat, battle spam, and pretty much everything else all rolled into one file.

You can find your log file in the Logs folder in your Eq directory. The file name will be eqlog_CharName_Server.txt

Hi,

Also, if you perpetually want to make sure you are always logging, you can edit the eqclient.ini in your everquest directory and edit or add the following line

log=TRUE

This means the log will always turn on without you having to do it manually.

I use log when I AFK macro. I make hotkeys that say

/log on
/mac whaterleetafkmacroyouhaverunning

This way if you ld or find yourself at desktop you can check your logs and find out why
