EDIT: /MELEE SAVE is the answer
adds all of the MQ2Melee settings to the servername_charactername.ini file in root folder.

Original Cryfest:

I've gone through the newbie tutorials and after the intermediate setup tutorial I got kinda dropped off. So now I am at the "google the answer to the problem" stage, since there are no more comprehensive guides for me to review, but I haven't been able to search my way to an answer for what I am facing. So here I am.

I have KissAssist set up and working fairly well, considering. The problem I am having on my Monk is that it is repeatedly firing multiple abilities I have not expressly stated it should fire (within the KissAssist ini). My understanding is that these abilities are being triggered by default values in MQ2Melee. For monks this seems to include Drunken Monkey Style, KICK (like the worst ability for monks), and Disarm (of the ones I can actually tell). So obviously I want to at least disable kick, but this opens the bag of worms of 'What else is MQ2Melee doing that I don't want it to do?" <--- this is a very very very important question.

So my understanding is there should be a servername_charactername.ini file in my root folder that is for MQ2Melee where I can see all the settings for MQ2Melee. However, the file in my root that is servername_charactername.ini is almost empty. This is what is in mine:

Rich (BB code):
[MQ2Rez]
Soundfile=C:\Users\Captain\Documents\MQ2\mq2rez.wav
Accept=0

The only other server_character.INI's I have are for Kissassist specifically (in the Macros subdir).

So I am anticipating being told to just add in
Rich (BB code):
[MQ2Melee]
var=setting
var2=setting
etc
into my servername_charactername.ini file in my root?

If this is the case, I'm going to need a template or something so I know what the current settings actually are. I mean, how is this not already there? The variables are already set (they are defaults)...

If this is not the case, then ...uhhh...help?

First check your plugin list and make sure MQ2Melee is loaded.
Next, type in /melee save this will save the basic melee settings to your servername_charactername.ini file.
Edit to your heart's content.
