Is anyone's puller randomly attacking the mob at the pull spot and dying without returning to camp?

Yep - My bard will randomly run out, use bellow and just stand there looking pretty until she gets her face smashed.


Happens now and then, not back to back.
 
Not at pull spot, but bard will tag a mob and drag it back toward camp. once bard has returned to camp, she will again run out to mob and attack, even though mob hasn't made it back to camp yet. If they are close enough to camp, tank 'might' go and help her. Otherwise, she goes splat.
 
That is one of the problems, there is a second one too though. That solved 80% of it for me, but my puller (who is a PullerTank SK) will still sometimes run out and directly engage melee at the mob. I've put some debugging into my copy of KA, but I can't figure out what's causing it. I think MQ2Melee is actually to blame, since I can't catch it "inside" kissassist anywhere. It seems to happen between KA events.

I've tried lowering my melee distance way down and it still happens, so I know it isn't that. Fortunately my SK is tough enough he can handle what he's pulling solo.
 
For me? No, this happens at like >150ft at times. I keep camp radius at about 20.
 
I do the same thing Esseye, I lowered my melee AssistAt to something lower, currently using 80%. Since he is puller tank he always engages anyways.
 
I have found and fixed one leak but there is still another. It only happens like every 3 or 4 hours though so i have to wait to catch the debug.
 
I have one group on 6.5 and one group on 6.6.

Both groups are using bards to pull, and I haven't seen this issue at all on 6.5.
6.6 I've had my bard randomly attack a few mobs, luckily he was close enough to get healed, and the healing agro got the mobs back to the group.

I was powerleveling my other group with my shadow knight just after 6.6 came out, and my pullertank seemed to battle random mobs about 1-2 an hour.
 
only problem i am having is my caster's pet will randomly stop attacking and come back to me on mage and necro

Pets automatically stop attacking when a mob is mezzed. EQ is programmed that way. So if you are using a mez or AE mez that usually causes it. Kiss checks every 15 secs if pet is attacking
 
I noticed that whenever I die on a pull the following is in my mq2 window. Going to change the pull health to >98 and see if that helps.

Aborting Pull! Target invalid now!
Reason:PullNotFullHealth

Anyone else using a bard puller who is also setup to mez?
Noticed every once in awhile my bard pulls a mob and agros another on the way back. He stops to mez the add, and then ends ups aborting running back to the camp.
Starts 1v1ing the mob + mez'd add and dies.

I've lowered my camp radius down to 25, to see if this helps.
 
I think that has to the with the main problem in the pulling right now. I fixed that. I will be uploading a new version in a day or 2 soon as fix a few other things.
 
I'm seeing this as well with the most recent build/kissassist. I'm using my warrior as pulelrtank, pulling with roar. Sometimes, if another add pops and aggros right after he roars the original target, he switches to the new target and sits there pounding on the new one without returning to camp.

I am trying to find camps with fast respawns. have 2 crews running one in shards and grounds with no problems so far
 
Grounds should be a good spot as things pop on you there. I had it happen again last night. My pullertank went to pull a mob, got aggro from another mob first, stayed where he was until both the mobs were dead. I'm also still seeing the crashing when running kissassist on two toons. It takes 4 hours+ but one always locks up.

Awesome work on the mq2navigation/mesh files - best. plugin. ever. Any chance you'll be doing SOD mesh files at any point Maskoi?

I tried to do some debugging myself but couldn't figure it out. After removing ExtendCampRadius (sp?), setting my CampRadius to a smaller value (25), implementing proper AE settings on my pullertank, removing puller flag so my merc would follow me, and popping my rogue's merc, I no longer found myself dead when I woke up this morning :-) I'm not sure which of these things did the trick though.
 
I'm now using MQ2navigation and this particular problem seems to have gone away. Unfortunately, a similar problem now happens. In the zone I am AFKing in, there is a tunnel where mobs spawn and path. If one paths within my pull distance, my pullertank obviously goes to grab him, but sometimes, he never comes back :-) He kills the mob and just sits there till the end of time. I have to manually move him back and restart kiss. It seems to happen when the mob is moving away, out of his pull radius once the pull begins. I do not set ExtendCampRadius anymore so assume he should just return. I've set debugpull on and will see if I see anything itneresting when it happens again.

I'm also still seeing consistent crashing on whoever I set to loot after about 6 hours or so.

I had a full group of 6 running last night. 100 warrior, 100 cleric, 100 sk, 97 shaman, 97 mage 97 bard
Shaman loots, sk pulls with mq2navigation. Ran in shards killing naeya for about 6 hours yesterday. Only time I had to stop was to gate shaman back to sell. I need to buy some big bags I guess.

I was having problems similar to yours in beasts domain before, but seems to have been resolved. I have run in BD for hours also, with no issues. Since the last MQ2/Kissassist updates anyway.
 
No worries, I appreciate the effort you already put in. I'm trying some processor affinity changes to see if it helps the crashing, and of course wouldn't you know it, as soon as I turned debugpull, he hasn't done his tunnel dive again :-) I'll report back if I find anything.
 
I was finally able to reproduce this with debugpull on, and it was related to what I suspected. My pullertank was pulling a mob (using a hate disc, mq2navigation enabled) but before he fired off the disc the mob exceeded his pull range of 200. The mob then aggroed. I saw an error saying something to the affect of "Leash of 200 exceeded - unable to return to camp". My warrior then sat there and killed the mob but never returned to camp. I had to manually return him to camp and restart kissassist. Is there any way to increase this leash range so that he will return to camp after a botched pull like this?

This happens both if the mob is moving and standing. Most of the time he can live through the couple hits to his back and get to camp but now and then he catches a stun and dies. It seems to be about a 50/50 split that he runs towards the mob after bellow hits or auto spins and return to camp. I am using 6.8.5
