how can I set up hot key combos to swap from toon to toon?

I run 18 and use isboxer to assign a key combo per each account, but I’m starting to use up all my cpu, even with mq2wire. So, I’d like to see if using mq2wire without isboxer will solve myproblem, but I have to be abele to go from one toon to the next with a push of a buttoned and not alt tab till I find the right one.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but when you use MQ2AutoLogin there is a line to assign a hotkey to swap to that character on the popup where you create their profile. This is where I sat mine [I use Ctrl + Shift + Number, but I guess you could set it to whatever you'd like.]

Not sure what you're running, but if it's MuleAssist you can /showwindow ToonName

Could i use one of these setup to a extra num pad and cycle through primary char of concern that way??

Idk if it works in raid but in the group window I just right click the toons name I want to go to’s screen and click switch to

Are you running your own raid? I can't imagine running 18 toons at once on a single computer. I am running a 32 core 64 Thread , 2010Ti 11GB Video, 128 Mb RAM, all of my SSD drives are 2 TB NMVe 4Gen M.2 Drives, with all the trimmings to include Water Cooling Video and CPU ...and I start getting a little laggy with 10 toons up a once.

I do not want hot keys from a toon in game, I literally want to press f2 from any character, and actually even when browsing chrome, and it brings up my main monk. This is exactly how it works with isboxer. I can be browsing chrome, working on an excel doc, press f1, and bam, there’s my warrior. I can also pull with my war, press f3, which pulls up chanter, cast tash, press f7, brings shaman, Malo and slow, back to f1 for my war, press a button to set ch chain, and then everything else kicks in. Or, as simple as I just need to see what my third ranger has for a head slot and if a dropped item is an upgrade. Press alt f4, bam, he appears

i run 18 on onePC, no issues, but 24 is pushing it and gets u playable at times. If you aren’t running mq2wire, then load it up, tills save the day.

I’ll check the m2autogin pop-up, but sounds promising. That’s basically what I’m looking for I think.

I couldn't get the hotkey to work on the profile of autologinl I put in F1 (typing hitting the F1 key did nothing, so I had to type F and 1). it doesn't do anything.

eq is kinda odd in resource usage due to its age. it pretty much just needs cpu and ram. if you really minimize eq settings it uses very little.
i can load 30 on an i7, 16gb ram, some mid range video card from 10 years ago, eq running from some cheap ass 30$ ssd. ive actively hunted with 24 toons, pretty much just stay driving on 3 toons and just assist and nuking on others.
i often run around with high graphics on 1 toon, medium on 2, and minimal on 10ish.

im just searching thru here for this topic. im used to using isboxer for the key assignments myself. ive tried several times using the profile system in mq2 and its never worked for me yet.
i dont have a good answer for you, but you can setup keyprofiles that work using wineq if you want to unload isboxer (im using wineq atm for differing eqclient files and key assignments myself). however, wineq potentially will have whatever issues isboxer has (if it is the issue as your suspecting), since isboxer is built on top of wineq (same developer).
