Question - KA Manual Puller (Monk) - target keep clearing

I believe that I had this problem previously and was able to solve it. However, I took a break for a while and have forgotten what the solution is. I searched the forums but did not find an answer.

I have a Monk as Puller using KA Manual. I run out to get a mob - target a mob and KA immediately clears my target. I keep trying to target until I finally get to the point where it does not clear - sometimes six or seven times. I have also had this problem a few times when I get a two pull and try to target the second mob after the first dies. It is probably something simple but I am just not seeing it.

I will keep checking my ini's to see if I can recognize what I have done wrong.

I believe that I have found where the problem comes from. In addition to doing KA Manual, I was doing /dpson 1. This is where the target clearing issue seems to come from. I put /dpson 0 and I no longer am having trouble targeting mobs to pull.

Maybe try making the pulling monk the MA, not sure if KA works like CWTN class plugins but it is worth a shot to see if that helps with the problem.

I am using a Ranger as Pullertank using bow/arrow to pull with and using his tanking merc once he gets back to camp. My problem is the ranger runs up on top of some far away mobs and gets killed before getting back to camp. I have searched and can not find where to distance his shots while pulling. He will make long shots when at camp. Thanks for help!

Using a ranged weapon, the target most be in Line of Sight and if the character gets too close(30 ft). Then the puller will switch to Melee and run up to the mob and attack, to get aggro.

@Unkie : when sending my Ranger to pull, I swap to use the AA to disspell benificial buffs when bow doesn't work well because bad los situation. Short recast-time and the benefit that mobs arriving in camp unbuffed. At open areas I swap back to use bow.
@Stone: have similar issues using 'assist' mode and pulling manual with my Bard. Got used to '/mqp' bevore running out to get new mobs and '/mqp' again once back at camp. A workaround that solves the problem, but I am curious if you find a better solution.
